they can't score. you need to be able to score to win. hence, the cubs won't win.

i can at least revel in the idea that God exists. without God, there couldn't be curses, right? I think witches could do the job. no such things as witches without a devil, no devil without a God. seems like an arbitrary rule what? in a world where magic exists, that must imply the existence of a supernatural being, right? don't see why. anyway, I don't think anybody fears Soriano right now. They're all coming right at him. you don't see the connection of supernatural power with a supernatural being?

They've done that 7-8 times already this year-of course half of them were called strike 3. how many times have they had full counts? they're only working the count so that they can swing later. Like I said, at least 7-8. Barrett and Izturis took pitches on 3-2 counts yesterday, for example. no, how many times have they had full counts, not taken pitches on full counts. anyway, i was being facetious.

i haven't seen a cub take a 3-2 pitch in years.

it's my understanding that zell isn't selling the cubs, but that the trib needs to sell the cubs before zell takes ownership. i've also heard that the trib to zell deal isn't necessarily done and that those 2 other guys from LA may have a chance to outbid zell.
