    I am gonna see what I can do about putting a curse on the Cardinals when I go there this year. only a card fan can put a curse on the cards.

    and what will "make some sense" steve? more bunting? more hustling? better situational hitting? clubhouse chemistry? team makeup? these are hardly new and exciting ideas with relevance in today's game. move on. i wonder how long it will take a management type to realize that the cubs don't get on base very well. it's always in the last place you look, right?

    i really don't want stone running the cubs. the chances of that happening are very probable, though. we're finally going to be the major league team that relents and hires him. he'll run us right into the ground with his conventional ideas, the game will continue to pass him by and he'll be run out on a rail at some point--i just hope it's sooner than later.

    I guess you don't understand the business of baseball then. Just because all of you think Cuban is the solution and want him to buy to Cubs, it doesn't mean that MLB and the owners agree. He has no chance. don't characterize us all as cuban lovers. that's cheap.

    No they are not. It will be a tough test. The Bears D will be fully healthy with Harris and Brown. So while I do think the Chargers will beat the Bears, but I doubt the Chargers "are going to crush the Bears" as you think. I'm thinking a 7 point differential. Bears will win that game. Chargers are good, but the Bears will beat them physically. Bears by 3 i gotta say, i doubt it. grossman will be seeing merriman in his sleep if he doesn't develop some kind of pocket awareness in the meantime.
