he can be the greatest p[layer of all time like oscar robertson was the greatest player of all time. i will take killers. if anyone wants to say that i'm being subjective, well, okay, but lebron is not a killer. a great player, wonderfully athletic and dominant physically. he is a whirling dirvish with the basketball, a tigger, a bounder, a dunker, an incredible hulk, a man among boys. but he is not a killer. But you're assuming he will never become one, which is probably a sound conclusion based on how few people can compare to MJ in that category. I have to confess this is kind of m.o. I resign myself to stuff I don't like early so I can accept it when it comes and be happily surprised when it doesn't. I certainly don't want LeBron to win rings/ring. Let me say this though, Oscar Robertson played against bad white guys. He's like Babe Ruth where it's impossible to know how good he'd be in the modern era. I personally think he'd be a hall of famer, but he sure as hell wouldn't be averaging a triple double. kobe was a fully developed killer at 22. wade was a fully developed killer at 24. i don't see the instinct, i don't see the competitiveness, i don't see the defense. either of those other guys will rip your still-beating heart out at step on it right in front of you. lebron will put you in a headlock and push you around a little bit and probably smell awful.
