  1. I don't much care what they're doing as long as they make it home in one piece. Someone mentioned earlier about switching a college D-lineman to OL. Didn't the Bears do that with Big Cat Williams? fred wakefield from illinois switched to play offensive line for arizona. but he was a bad de to begin with. xavier fulton, another illini, was moved from DE to LT and is going to go in the first 5 rounds.
  2. maybe they're rapping.
  3. wow, that's pretty sweet.
  4. i can't believe lilly came out so easily. he must be tired or cold or something.
  5. Was there some sort of opportunity for Fontenot to run him over? I think Helton wins that collision every time. helton's not a huge guy, and he was in awkward position, leaning over with his back to the runner. fontenot hit the brakes before he got to the bag in order to avoid any kind of collision, so it cost us a baserunner and an out, probably. Helton is a huge guy in comparison to Fontenot. it wasn't like he standing there with his chest puffed out, braced for impact, though. he's reaching back into foul ground, digging a throw out of the dirt from a second baseman throwing from the outfield grass. i doubt fontenot would have taken the brunt of it.

  7. what is fontenot doing? if helton wants to go on the other side of the bag, let him know that he's doing it at his own risk.
  8. Correct. I notice the announcers aren't making mention of it. he was safe.
  9. fielder hasn't swung at a pitch since homering yesterday. the brewers ared taking the old approach to beating the cubs. i hope more teams do it, because it's wrong.
  10. i hope the bears pick up ramses barden so i can post this every time he scores a touchdown: My name is Ozymandias, king of kings: Look on my works, ye Mighty, and despair
  11. say what you want, but ben gordon can be a pretty electric player. he just needs the right pieces around him.
  12. I think Gregg is just getting the night off. Len seemed to think Lou may be going to a momentary bullpen-by-committee approach, though. yeah, i like the strategy. but if marmol blows it i'm going to hate it.
  13. marmol seems like a pretty capricious dude, let's go with marmol.
  14. yeah, at risk of being completely blasphemous, i really want one.

  16. jarron gilbert can jump out of a pool.
  17. The fact that they decided to do this for Chicago first, and not Boston or New York.........................confims a few suspicions. so, ESPNChicago is kind of like black history month.
  18. and that's how he kills us. i don't remember him ever making good contact against us, but i can't remember us ever getting him out.
