    can someone give me a scouting report on jack skille. if steeger isn't going to be a blackhawk next year, sounds like he'll get a chance to play with the big club, but i know next to nothing about him. would have been nice to have kopitar, but would the balance be there if we had taken him?

    We did look uncharacteristically soft on the puck a few times. Not a lack of toughness, just being lazy a few times and not getting in good body position to play it. we have to fly by these guys while maintaining control of the puck, they're just poking it out and heading the other way for slow, but gigantic rushes.

    sam thompson's final 5: oregon state, ohio state, georgetown, kansas, and florida. it's okay, we got our guy in henry. thompson is seriously athletic, though.

    yeah, but didn't they have a ton of expiring contracts that year? that was the whole reason they could sign two max FAs. it definitely wasn't talent level. they were an average team that had to jettison most of their average talent.
