    my first memories are of the 88-89 team that lost to calgary in the conference finals. all of my other teams lost in the conference finals that year. the cubs (well, nlcs, to the giants), the bulls (to the pistons), and the bears (to the 49ers). oh, and the illini lost in the semifinal game. kinda weird, i think.

    my favorite part of that incoherent, strangely-worded piece: yeah, relax, he's just a coach, just like any other cheating coach who has had final fours at two different schools vacated. haha. as far as "throwing stones at the throne", ha. this guy has got to be a kentucky schill, because, dog, there ain't no throne to toss stones at. kentucky hasn't been to a final four in over a decade and calipari has no final fours on his resume. earlier in the "article", he weirdly defends eric bledsoe, as if anyone needs to feel sorry for a guy who will be playing in the nba and may very well get a bunch of victories vacated by the university he played at. no one is attacking eric bledsoe, he's just a basketball player, no one can blame him for taking a bunch of cash. the question is, where is the cash coming from and who paid off the high school coach? hmmm, well, my guess would be the boosters of wherever he went to school. calipari is a piece of human filth, and not because he slicks his hair back.

    nathan scheelhaase has been named the illini's starting qb. that's pretty cool, i'm kind of excited and optimistic about this year. 7-5 could be a reasonable goal, considering the rbs are both back and the offensive line could be much improved

    his douchy comments are no more calculated than rasheed wallace's douchy comments are calculated. i think you're giving him way too much credit. oh please pay me to sit up at a post-game pc and spit out the first irreverent thing that comes into my head so people will worship me for being a genius or have the fans of the other team think it's coolly forbidden to like me. if he's getting into players' heads by being belligerent with reporters, those players do not belong in the nhl. "oh that is so clever! i mean, i hate him because he doesn't play for my team, but i sure wish he did! he's just like scott hall!" getting into peoples' minds is like when bolland had thornton talking about how much he wasn't bothering him.
