  1. i think that the big ten should let ku in, on the condition that bill self comes forward and finally admits that he drinks goat pee.
  2. neither do i, in professional sports.
  3. hey, kane said he'd bring the cup to buffalo for a day.
  4. no, i think it has been made pretty clear that you should be grateful that you got to bang all those hookers that you never would have been able to afford if you hadn't robbed that bank.
  5. do whatever you want. i'm just saying if it were my team, i'd recognize that we got away with highway robbery and the national title and heisman trophy are worth more to the program than 20 schollies over the next 4 years. You're forgetting the two year postseason ban. And you'd recognize you got away with highway robbery as a fairly severe punishment was being handed down? Is it easy keeping all those contradictory ideas in your head at the same time? it's like going to jail for robbing a bank years after the fact. on one hand you got arrested and the punishment is fairly severe. but on the other hand, no one can take away all those hookers you bought with all that money.
  6. also, to kyle prater: haha
  7. lots of champagne, lots and lots.
  8. well, no, no i don't, but you can imagine what it would be like if i did
  9. i think they're lucky they don't lose their program.
  10. erik, why is it that you're so opposed to texas or notre dame joining the big ten?
  11. no iowa state stays in, wisconsin is less deserving, they're perfect for the mac.
  12. I'd grab Iowa St, Missouri, and Kansas. Iowa vs Iowa State gives you a natural rivalry game every year, and so does preserving Kansas and Missouri. Then I'd go East: Michigan Michigan State Indiana Purdue Northwestern Penn State Ohio State West: Wisconsin Minnesota Iowa Nebraska Missouri Kansas Iowa State Notre Dame isn't going to give up their sweet gig, and Missouri, K-state, and I-State make a hell of a lot more sense than Texas does. hmm, thinking of kicking the illini out of the [expletive] big ten?
  13. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v519/suleyman21/hawkswinbrewers.jpg here is a picture of all the chicago fans crowded around the tv at the concession stand inside miller park last night.
  14. Chills. Props on the song choice, CBC that song was written for montages.
  15. I find it funny how willing so many are to blame Leighton, considering he had about the 2nd best save percentage and goals against average in the playoffs, and it could be argued quite easily that he outplayed Niemi. The difference was Chicago is better. They have more goal scorers and can stand toe to toe defensively. Without that amazing team in front of him, Niemi's effort, especially in the finals, would have looked disappointing. He was only considered a Conn Smythe candidate because he was the winning goalie. it does seem surreal to know that our goalie won 16 games in the postseason, though.
  16. he should be absolutely ecstatic that the flyers got to game 6 of the cup finals, that team was left for dead so many times this year and in the post-season. all for nothing? that's pretty disrespectful to say, i understand emotions are running hot right after a loss in the finals, but the flyers outperformed all expectations and went farther than any one could have imagined them going at the beginning of the playoffs. [expletive] you, timmonen.
  17. i love the image of buff obliterating pronger and hope that is one of the lasting memories people take away from these finals.
  18. what an odd post he's a sense-maker, that one
  19. "congrats on your team winning the stanley cup, they beat a bunch of pathetic losers" would have sufficed.
  20. i was at the cubs-brewer game tonight and we were all huddled around a tv at the concession stand and it was the best feeling of camaraderie i've ever had with a group of fans in my life.
  21. that sounds a lot like loser talk.
  22. ya think hossa is happy with his decision to sign with the hawks? the penguins couldn't get him the cup, the wings couldn't get him the cup, the hawks delivered.
  23. okay, i heard nothing snarky from pronger, he must be dead or something. maybe there's still a chance to take the pressure off his team by saying something calculatingly clever, he should check out all possibilities. also hartnell has a [expletive] perm, and his beard is permed too, [expletive] him. choke on your shame, philadelphia, choke on your shame.
  24. Yeah they should. They didn't call a foul and the ball went out off Odom. (And yes I know it was a foul) Either you keep it Lakers ball or you call the foul on Rondo. The whole point of replay is to get it right (not that they did it there or on the Garnett play in Game 2). If you can change who has the ball, you should be able to rule it was a foul after the review in that scenario since it was one because it should be Laker ball with either them taking it out or Odom at the foul line. You really can't be serious advocating calling the foul on the review. They were reviewing who the ball went off of, the foul is completely irrelevant. I mean when the NFL reviews a play should they be able to call a penalty for holding, or facemasking, or whatever if they see it? That's ignorant. Call the foul only if it affects the result of the play. If Rondo hacks Odom and the ball is off Rondo, don't worry about the foul. But it should have been Laker ball there. i agree. i wouldn't call a foul though. i would just say that while the ball went off of one team, the player was interfered with and award the ball to the correct team.
