  1. Varejao 8.6 PPG 7.6 RPG 0.9 BPG Noah 10.7 PPG 11 RPG 1.6 BPG take about 4 of those rebounds away from verajao and give them to noah if lebron decides to bring the brick show to town.
  2. It's not even that for me. If you told me the Bears are going to make a Jay Cutler like move and get an affordable young superstar in the making and never pick in the 1st 2 rounds again, I'd be fine with it (generically speaking). But a move for Jackson would be falling into the Cubs trap of spending big money and failing to continue to infuse young talent in to get better. Woah what? Jackson won't turn 28 till after this season is over, so if you trade for him and sign him to a 5 yr deal you get him for ages 27-32. We are talking about a guy who averages over 17 yards per catch. Yea hes never been the 100 catch reciever like some other guys in the league but hes gradually progressed his catches every year in the league from 41 to 59, and to 68 this past year. Hes played on a San Diego offense that hasn't lacked talent and that spreads the ball around pretty good. With this organizations history of developing offensive guys, Id have no problem giving up a 2nd round pick for Jackson. I think you guys are severely underestimating him here. The Bears have not had a problem developing offensive talent. They've had a problem developing QBs. 28 is when Jackson will get the big pay day. 28 is when NFL players typically start the decline. And I agree with everything you said about Jackson. He's great. He's a wonderful player, I would love to have him. But I don't want him that much to trade another early pick (haven't picked in top 70 in 2 years) and to pay him like he is one of those 100 catch WRs. do NFL receivers really start to decline at 28? i can see it with running backs but with receivers?
  3. hey, that anderson whatever guy is a top 10 player in the league
  4. If they do a S&T for Bosh that includes Deng, would they be able to add LeBron AND another FA? I don't think so...the way I understand it is that right now they can't straight up sign 2 max FA's. They're a little short. The S&T with Deng would let us do Bosh and Lebron at max, and then have enough to fill out the rest of the bench I believe... there'd be enough for kyle korver.
  5. They have no control over rumors. yeah, i don't undertsand the anger towards the players on this one.
  6. i said this earlier, and i think it's correct, but i'm not sure. i think the league is holding it's breath that this will not happen. no one in the country will want to watch the heat dominate basketball. ratings will drop, interest will wane. the bulls carry enough fans due to simple population and geographical factors, not to mention that historically they've carried the league when they've dominated. if the heat begin dominating, goodbye nba as we know it. viewership would be so terrible that stern would have to declare martial law, immediately revoke bird rights, lower the salary cap and break up that team.
  7. nobody is taking a cut. cc, are you a heat fan? i haven't been following this thread super closely.
  8. Or maybe even a 10 day contract, and then on July 18th, he can resign for a max deal. bird rights don't transfer until after year 3, pretty much so stuff like this doesn't happen.
  9. How right has this poster been in the past with his sources? he wouldn't be so respected if he posted garbage.

  11. the knicks haven't won anything in many many years
  12. not that i'd take him over lebron by any stretch of the imagination. but if they were both on my team i have no doubt who i'd want with that last shot or with the ball in his hands.
  13. wade is a killer.
  14. we're going to try to sign him... we traded for hamhuis and then dealt him away to pitt because he wasn't going to sign with us ($$$ being the issue, i'm sure). hopefully we can get something done with nabakov. I'm sure he's an upgrade because it would be hard not to upgrade from what the Flyers had. However, he didn't seem all *that* special to me. imo, leighton did a better job against us than nabby did. I thought Leighton was pretty bad at times. I don't know. I wasn't afraid of Nabokov in any way at all. He might be a good goaltender, but even with my limited knowledge of the game I'd raise an eyebrow if someone called him great. none of those upper-tier goalies scare me, we've destroyed them all. it's the next tier, the jonas hiller's, the pekka rinne's of the world that give me nightmares. okay, well maybe ryan miller freaks me out, but his team doesn't.
  15. Well, there's a difference between signing 3 max guys, and the Heat signing LeBron, keeping Wade, and maybe pulling off a S&T for Bosh. I don't know if it still wouldn't be enough to get those three, but there's a distinction. The problem with a S&T is that the Heat don't have any players, let alone players to deal in a trade. they might be able to sign lebron and bosh, and then sign wade, taking them over the cap. that would be legal.
  16. If the difference is 10 titles to 5, I think south beach wins out. meh, miami is a [expletive]-hole. For most people, sure, especially non-south beach areas. But where really rich young people can go, it's glorious. true. i still think chicago has more to offer really rich, young people though. there's just no saltwater beaches or guys roaming the streets playing a conga drum in a hawaiian shirt 365 days a year. it's all moot anyway because lebron can chill in south-beach every day he's not playing or practicing no matter where he chooses to play, it's for vacationers, after all.

  18. the biggest competitor for james is miami, that's just common sense. i still think we have an edge with rose and noah. he may be able to win 5 titles with wade, but he'll win 10 titles with rose and noah.

  20. Every cross finds the head of a Ghanan
  21. Can't feel bad about this one, Ghana has just looked better and buried their chances instead of kicking it to the goalie.
  22. -16 by South Korea in 1954, and they only played two games also. Lost to Hungary 9-0 and Turkey 7-0. They avoided eventual champion West Germany, which scored 25 goals in 6 games so they likely would have been over 20. The 16 goals are also the most allowed in a World Cup. EDIT: Which is the foul that Brazil should have been red carded for. I've been paying more attention to the other game. That little bitch Juan plucked a very nice ball out of the air that was meant for ronaldo with no one back.
  23. I don't understand why they dive on great chances like that. That was an even bigger bitch move than Juan's handball.
  24. How did they even qualify, saber-rattling?
  25. That guy Juan is a little bitch.
