  1. haha, now no on miami. i hope he goes back to cleveland. this would be an excellent chance to trade derrick rose in exchange for dan gilbert's soul.
  2. Best selling point of only having 4 players on your team. most of the players that the heat will be looking for are his mom's age anyway. don't let her near karl malone.
  3. hahn already backed off his tweet.
  4. i don't even know how lebron to the heat is possible.
  5. seriously, get the [expletive] out of here with bucks talk. no one even knows they exist.
  6. the more i hear about him, the more i like the idea of anthony morrow on this team. ten more minutes per game and i think he'll explode. i think starting: rose morrow deng boozer noah is pretty [expletive] tough.
  7. dex, are you skiba7 over at realgm?
  8. Did he give a reason for that opinion? no. it makes a lot of sense, though.
  9. he's a radio personality, a controversial one. love the name, though.
  10. charlie villanueava has said he knows where lebron is going and it's not chicago. why am i following charlie villanueva?
  11. This is what is confusing me about max deals. 5/80 is 16m per. Amare got 5/99.7 or nearly 20m per. The Atlanta guy got 6/119, nearly 20m per. What the heck is a max contract? Is it fluid for every player? not really, it's based on raises. 5/80 isn't nearly a max contract. i don't know how it's structured, but nba max contracts generally start at just over 16.5 for the first year and are subject to yearly raises, in year 6 can be worth just over 27 mil.
  12. if it makes you feel any better, in 20 years, the titles that the bulls could have won will be just as forgotten as the titles the bulls have won.
  13. With wes out of the picture, it's starting to look bad for the bulls.
  14. Miami would be allowed to use the mid-level exception every year and they can spread that around to multiple players if they want. Or they can sign all the players they want to the minimum. That plus draft picks would be plenty of roster turnover for them. I don't think Miami will get all 3 players, but if they did they still would have flexibility to fill out a team over time. what kind of draft picks are thy going to get? NG guys that can barely breathe out of their mouths on an nba floor. my point is this idea that they can keep bringing in waves of nba mercs is just a myth. keep in mind that by year 5 of the contracts, those three guys will be making like 80 mil. miami better be successful.
  15. 28 is old? comparitively speaking. he'll be 29 in november. i'd rather have lee.
  16. i would rather sign lee, too. boozer is old.
  17. let me point out that this eliminates miami from lebron's plans. they cannot sign him, at least, if they want to fill out a team in a few years. if they are all max players, they will all be making 20 mil in like 2 years. that's 60 mil in salary and now they're capped out. they can't continue to sign low-priced veterans because you can't sign free agents if you're over the cap. they'll have to sign 9 players (assuming they trade chalmers and beasley to do it) to 5 year deals averaging around 1.2 mil per year (though they can give raises) while utilizing their mid-level exception on the 10th. if they keep beasley and chalmers, it becomes 8 veterans for a lot less money than 1 mil. they can't continue to re-stock their roster with players every year, it will have to remain static. they'll always be at this critical level where their players cannot retire or get injured. they can't do it, they wouldn't want to. those players would have had to take a major pay-cut to all play there. they're done in free agency.
  18. i got it all wrong, wade and bosh are the good guys and lebron is hollywood. he's going to come out and introduce his new partners, wade and bosh and then announce they're all gonna play in miami and be managed by a mystery superstar agent, wearing a mask. while they're all parading around the stage hands clasped and held high the agent will secretly remove his mask to reveal that it's wes, who will then throw powder into the faces of the chumps, noah will jump up on stage and start beating them with a chair, lebron drops a couple of legs, yada yada yada, queue up the sirius and the pelting of the half-filled beers and other garbage and it's everyone's worst nightmare except chicago's.
  19. lebron is coming to chicago
  20. Well, I get that because it would create an absolute circus at a camp where kids are trying to work on their game. But I still think there's something about him doing it at his high school and not in Cleveland. maybe he wants to tell them in person so that they can't say bad things about him like "he left town without even waving to the fat people that came to stand outside of his hotel while he talked to some guys"?
  21. he should announce it at derrick rose's high school.
  22. lebron, korver, redick. my wish list.
  23. I assume you hate Uruguay because of the Suarez handball or was there already some animosity? i just think the name is funny because of that simpsons episode.
  24. i don't think i follow
  25. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1KwlRKg-WgU&feature=related1 this adequately sums up my feelings about uruguay and what i think of every time i hear the term uruguay.
