  1. chris grant's voice had a certain desperation in it. he didn't look excited and spoke in a weird cadence.
  2. cleveland and lebron have wrapped up their meeting. bulls last in the group.
  3. I like that because it means hanging on to Taj. and it more than benefits the bucks, too.
  4. i saw that a bucks fan on realgm pointed out that the bulls could trade deng and james johnson to milwaukee for corey maggette and the non-guaranteed contract of darnell jackson, cut jackson, get 3.5 mil in cap space to bring in two max guys, plus they get whatever value maggette brings as a backup.
  5. i will point out that i heard somewhere that kevin nash was the #2 rated basketball prospect in michigan in like 1976 or 77, right behind magic johnson.
  6. I hope that ref was then kicked out of the high school level. it was disgraceful, i remember being sick for him. the look on his face was absolutely devastating.
  7. this is kind of like pro wrestling at this point. bosh and wade are going to come out in nwo shirts and start beating up all of the lesser free agents while lebron disappears, paints himself up like the crow, and then makes ceremonious return swooping in on a zip line to beat the crap out of them with a baseball bat. then, michael jordan will come down and act like he's on lebron's side and then hit him in the back with a chair, leg-drop him a few times while people pelt him with garbage and half-filled beers.
  8. on my high school team we had this guy from venezuela who did that in a game and got red carded, the goal counted, and the referee blathered on about ungentlemanly conduct for like 10 minutes while the 16-year old kid had to stand there and take it. get over it, buddy the kid was reacting.
  9. Deng makes twice as much as those guys And he's twice as good. he's more than twice as good.
  10. people are signing guys like darko and warrick to comparitively huge offers, deng's deal is looking better.
  11. kentucky has been warned before. please kill that program.
  12. There's also a lot more hot chicks in NY and a lot less fat ones than in Chicago. and word is that they put out and are smarter
  13. i don't think there's much chance at this point that lebron goes to new york. so stop wishing it true.
  14. The Bulls would only clear about $1 Million off the cap by dealing Taj Gibson. Unless they can get someone to take Deng, I don't see how the Bulls could sign & trade for Bosh and still have money left over for LeBron. Am I missing something here? http://forums.realgm.com/boards/viewtopic.php?f=10&t=1024789&start=15 here's the link to the realgm discussion. i tend to trust sham as i've known him longer than anyone here and he's mad smart with these things.
  15. that is with the huet situation accounted for, the only goalies on that roster are niemi and toivonen.
  16. we better get a ransom for one of them, then. a motherfucking ransom.
  17. some big forward from minnesota who is being compared to buff or something EDIT: he's a defenseman, apparently. 6-8 258
  18. espn reporting the hawks have signed john scott.
  19. which is why he just sat there. come one bron, say something! the chance to play for significantly less than you are worth and the prospect of recruiting others to play for significantly less than they are worth has got to be intriguing, yes? SAY SOMETHING!
  20. I'm very positive about the offseason right now. If we lose Sharp, Bolland or Hjalmarsson, I'll be very disappointed. Niemi can go, though, if he's signed to a big offer sheet or gets a big arbitration award. here's what i got at capgeek right now: Jonathan Toews — $6,300,000 Patrick Kane — $6,300,000 Marian Hossa — $5,275,000 Patrick Sharp — $3,900,000 Dave Bolland — $3,375,000 Tomas Kopecky — $1,200,000 Marty Reasoner — $1,150,000 Troy Brouwer — $1,025,000 Viktor Stalberg ($65,000) $850,000 Mathis Olimb — $600,000 * Bryan Bickell — $500,000 Brian Campbell — $7,142,875 Duncan Keith — $5,538,462 Brent Seabrook — $3,500,000 * Niklas Hjalmarsson — $3,000,000 Ivan Vishnevskiy — $821,667 Shawn Lalonde ($220,000) $773,333 * Jordan Hendry — $625,000 * Antti Niemi — $2,000,000 Corey Crawford — $800,000 =58,866,337 i'm interested to see what the injury exemptions amount to. thinking about it, hossa and bolland will be significant and it's possible campbell's could push us over the top. saying this, i have no idea what it means.
  21. none of the players traded have been as valuable as sharp or bolland. i'm still waiting to hear what the injury exemptions or whatever are. i don't think bolland or sharp will be traded, we will just have a lot of swedes and other scandinavian-types on the team. i don't think that's a bad thing, necessarily.
  22. we're really going to have to get to know some new players next season, aren't we?
  23. Thanks brah sorry, homie
