  1. not a lot flash to it, he just made it look so easy. the earl wins this round.
  2. #1 pick in the draft, sure. he's a 3 year player.
  3. he's useless right now.
  4. best player in the big ten.
  5. if we would have beaten minnesota we'd be going.
  6. i worry about the bears losing focus for the rest of the year. the eagle win is a high-water mark thus far. this is a team that needs total concentration and max protect to win.
  7. rose's mid-range game is scary good.
  8. i'd put him at 4 or 5. i think he's better than ryan but he hasn't had the success.
  9. then why not classify them as linemen, instead?
  10. none of those guys are as good as briggs is at what he does, except for willis.
  11. Does it have anything to do with the fact that the game was seen in something like 85% of the country? That's awesome either way. well, considering it's including all monday and sunday night games, yes, it is impressive.
  12. this is a trap game for sure. we need to maintain the level of focus to beat the lions, who are dangerous and definitely not pushovers. they need to watch the giants game every single week until the end of the season.
  13. this game was the league's highest rated game of the year on any network. you think people don't want to see the bears play? maybe the league will instruct their officials to disregard their former directive to bend the bears over at every chance.
  14. i'm hoping for a bears-chargers super bowl now. i can dream, can't i? cutler gets a chance to shove it right up phil rivers's ass.
  15. Wow, he must not respect the Bears as opponents if he reacts that angrily to losing to a fellow 7-3 (now 8-3) team. if he wants to blame anyone, he should blame himself. the players made few mistakes, and, when they did, they were able to fall on top of them. the bears just beat them.
  16. lol, they lost by 5 because the Bears played a near prevent defense the entire 4th quarter in an attempt to run out the clock. This is what you are able to do when you have an 18 point lead entering the quarter. As it was, the defense stepped up and stopped the Eagles when it mattered, having them settle for FGs in the red zone 3 times I believe. But yeah, keep believing you didn't just get dominated by the Bears. don't forget the 4 fumbles that they themselves fell upon.
  17. And he's a poor talent evaluator, takes too long to adjust when his personnel stinks (Tommie Harris), bad at challenges, forced out good coaches (Rivera) and so on and so on. lovie is a pretty good evaluator of talent as it relates to his scheme. Mark Anderson and Tommie Harris were both terrible and Lovie refused to take them out of the lineup until it was obvious to everyone that they couldn't play anymore. Manning was his personal project and not until this year has he showed anything. But he really hurt the team last year. manning had a decent year last year, actually, and he led the league in KR average. but, the other guys that he put in a position to succeed are totally lost on you, aren't they? lovie gave idonije a shot over a failed angelo draft pick in michael haynes, too. but you haven't mentioned him. all coaches give high-priced players or valued draft picks a shot to prove their potential, it would dumb not to. urlacher didn't exactly light the world on fire in his first few games with the bears, but jauron let him play and continued to search for a place for him rather than simply release him after a few games because it would be moronic. but i doubt that's something that you could understand fully. you're making me hope lovie keeps his job for 20 more years.
  18. like i said, you are insufferable.
  19. i listed aaron rodgers as qb that i'd take. as far as manning goes, put him in a system that isn't his, keep him from changing plays as he sees the defense, and you get a statue quarteback with a league average arm. as for his MASH unit team, well, he hasn't exactly been doing much with them lately, has he? rivers is slow and would get killed. roethlisberger is interesting because i think he's at least a little comparable to jay. i actually forgot about him, that guy can actually take a pounding and run a little. but the point stands, you have to be able to run for your life in this offense with this line, and you have to be able to throw on the run with some touch.
  20. Because I originally said that Sanchez was maybe (meaning not certainly) as good as Cutler. Why would you write an insanely long post when all you had to do was recognize that I said maybe? Everyone looked ahead to the part where I said in jest that that he was basically the same guy because Sanchez has a much better line and receiving core. I tried to defend the "maybe" by pointing out that Jay and Sanchez had very similar stats going into today. Everyone here (including me) gets their jollies by pointing out where others are wrong. But why completely overlook what I originally said where I poked fun at myself by saying they were basically the same. I did that because you guys missed something do obvious where I qualified my statement. But all I said was that maybe Sanchez is not too far behind because they have similar stats. The point is that there are 5-6 QBs in this league who can do exactly what Jay does in this offense even with a bad line and an average receiving core at best. Jay has his best game this year and all of the sudden no one else can do what Jay does. i've been saying that no one else can do what jay does, except for aaron rodgers and perhaps michael vick, for a while. i've given reasons for this. your continued hatred of cutler is baffling. you're the guy who last week said that cutler needs to be replaced and is the weak link on this team. remember how everyone laughed at you? was that humiliation enough? not at all, because this week, you've made several equally idiotic statements.
  21. And he's a poor talent evaluator, takes too long to adjust when his personnel stinks (Tommie Harris), bad at challenges, forced out good coaches (Rivera) and so on and so on. lovie is a pretty good evaluator of talent as it relates to his scheme. and this perserveration on challenges is desperately bizarre.
  22. boulder is way better than oxford, though. and colorado clobbers mississippi.
  23. whatchu mean "you guys"? i love the bears and i love mark sanch........i mean jay cutler.
  24. there is no maybe in that statement. oh, and you are insufferable. That was a joke buddy and I am pretty sure you knew it. For some reason you get incredibly ignorant when you argue with me. I originally said maybe and was trying to make light of the fact that everyone jumped all over it. that's really weird dude
  25. my only problem with lovie is that most of the time, he's gutless in 4th and short situations in enemy territory.
