  1. there is no maybe in that statement. oh, and you are insufferable.
  2. you said that mark sanchez is basically jay cutler, then you backpedaled. as your penance, never compare mark sanchez to jay cutler again.
  3. Before today their stats were quite similar. but they shouldn't be similar if they are the same quarterback. you said sanchez has a much better line and receivers. shouldn't sanchez have much better numbers then? Yep. That is why I said maybe. what a bold statement, then.

  5. oh, so it's their personalities that are similar. you just sold me on them being the same quarterback. well done.
  6. Or, in truth, he's the exact opposite of Jay Cutler in every way imaginable. So Jay doesn't lead game winning last minute drives like he did last week? I said MAYBE Sanchez was on his level. But MAYBE NOT. he led a game winning drive and so did jay? they must be twins!
  7. So he's basically football's captain intangibles? Because (some of) his flaws are concrete as hell i was just saying that if you don't give him credit for his wins, you can't hold his losses against him. it's unfair.
  8. they also had 4 fumbles and lost none. they got extremely lucky they didn't get blown out.
  9. his team loves him and he's managed a bunch of former head coaches without drama. lovie is what he is: a fairly successful system head coach that players believe in and will go to war for. i don't see how you can ask for much than that. A high school coach, yes. Not an NFL coach in a huge market with a storied franchise. Fine Lovie brings with him his system and the fact that players play hard for him. That makes his just an average coach which is what I have been arguing all along. i really don't know what you expect. there are only a few truly remarkable coaches in the nfl, and i doubt that would have much more success with this team. this team is 8-3. if you won't give lovie credit for the wins, you certainly can't hold losses against him.
  10. wow, that fight was awesome

  12. oh jeez.
  13. 11.8 yards per attempt. that's efficiency right there. jay is the only qb that would have us in this position. I don't know, I think Peyton Manning would have the Bears in the same position, likely. Brady, Rodgers, Vick, Ryan, Rivers, and maybe Sanchez too. Cutler played great. Maybe his best game as a Bear, but I don't think he was the only guy who could do that. your inclusion of sanchez completely defeats your own argument. but no, those other guys are very good to great, but we aren't talking simply very good to great quarterbacks here. i'm not saying jay would thrive in the ne offense, in fact, orton is probably much better suited to that anyway.

I don't know, I think Peyton Manning would have the Bears in the same position, likely. no, he doesn't move well and in martz's system he has no ability to audible. Peyton plays in the Manning system no matter who the OC is. i'm speaking specifically to martz's system, though. of ocurse, if manning and martz butted heads, which they most assuredly would immediately, martz would be gone. but, for the sake of argument, we're talking about a qb with this line in this offense with these receivers.

  17. i really hate having to hold on for dear life in a game that we dominated. they got lucky at the end.
  18. i don't see ANYTHING special about jeff fisher.
  19. they really didn't want to accept that they have been beaten.
  20. he was obviously touched.
  21. what happened there? i thought they were giving the ball to the eagles.
