michigan outfouled ohio state 23-11, and they needed every last bit of help from the refs.

At least with the second one you can see why the ref would think it's a foul. If the first video is a true foul, the refs would have to call something almost every possession. he pushed off a guy with position and did it hard enough to extend his arm, the refs will call that every time. the second one he just slammed into a smaller guy that wasnt strong enough to box him out. I mean, I could see a ref letting the top one go, but acting like it's some flagrant abuse or something is pretty over the top yeah, this is pretty much what i saw. boozer is also a very strong human being.

they'll turn a profit this year, but i don't think the city will be patient enough to sit through a 7-8 year spell without the playoffs. especially when they've been so teased with a title after years of mediocrity. plenty of teams have gone from penthouse to outhouse when the team languished. the thing they have going for them is the size of the city and the area, they aren't a small market by any stretch. i fear that the owner may commit suicide at some point, though.

this draft is going to be super-duper weak, maybe the weakest in history, even at the very top. sullinger is a beast in college, but he's short to play PF and won't be much more than a nice 3rd option on a good team, which the cavs won't have.

There's like 5 IU fans on this board. All you have to do is go back to posts during the Illinois/IU game (which Illinois lost by the way to a team missing 2 of its 3 best players) and you can see gems like: again with crowing about a modest victory. we're all super happy that your program was able to come away with such a signature win, you certainly have a tale to tell. and for the record, there aren't that many more illini fans that post regularly in this thread. and another post whining about other whining.

actually, much of this thread is IU fans whining about how Illini fans whine.

the Illini capped off their class by getting Jon Davis, a 4 star TE out of kentucky who may get a look at WR or linebacker, as he is super fast for the TE position. the class for illinois isn't very high profile, but there are a lot of rumblings that it's very talented. o'toole should have ended up a 4 star, and he's a possible franchise-type qb as he was sun-times player of the year.

also, reading the comments, the guys who came up with this formula aren't doing a lot of explaining it to the "watch the games" meatballs, they're just engaging in this philosophical discussion between eyes and numbers.

Maybe it's just me, but when you do statistical analysis on the season, and that analysis indicates things in such a way that you actually conclude "Landry Fields is a much better guard than Derrick Rose", I'd probably look into revising the analysis, or at least call into question the results. His metric also ranks Rose behind Jason Kidd, who is shooting 34 percent this year and averaging 8 points a game. i love how his chart overlaps with his general links section, too. top notch work.

Not good at all, but consider we were in salary cap hell for 3-4 of those years and the first 2-3 years of his tenure, he inherited a horrid team. The records were always pretty inconsistent, but a lot of that was player development and having the right personnel more than coaching. There were very few years I felt like the team underperformed significantly what it should do and far more times they outperformed what they should have done. If you bring in a good GM and don't give complete personnel power to Fisher, I think he'd be a great hire. He's still better than most anyway. given 16 years, plenty of loser coaches would be bound to have some successes with one franchise. i think you're making a lot of excuses for him.
