My god. If the Cubs, Blackhawks, Bulls, Bears, Illinois football and basketball all won titles, sulley would still complain about Illinois girls field hockey or something. it would never happen because none of my teams win, let alone the two most important ones. can't say i'd have any pity for the packers if the situations were reversed, though.

Green Bay might have been a 6 seed, but they certainly didn't come from nowhere. they certainly did. they had to win the last 2 games just to assure themselves 3 road games on the way to the super bowl. they've also done this without finley and grant.

Never understood the redneck connection considering Wisconsin is actually north of Illinois. Yes, there are fatties there but I translate rednecks to people that live in Kentucky and further south. rednecks aren't just from the south. in colorado and washington state, they're known as mountain people. in the midwest, the closer you are to the UP, the closer you are to being a simpleton. hey sulley, where are you from, anyway? a terrible place, the quad cities.

thompson is not an elite player. he is a spot-up-chucker and that's all he's ever been.

in the NBA, it's all about team defense. a great defensive coach can make his defense more than the sum of its parts and cause individuals to look much better than they are by themselves. having a guy who can shut down a great player is always nice, but i'll take what thibs has done. just don't let him walk away once we've won 6 titles.
