  1. PERHAPS YOU NEED TO LEARN ABOUT ALABAMA'S AD BUDGET yeah, there's no way.
  2. in his chat today, klee implied that grant has shown interest in the illini job.
  3. i take it back, i'd take wright and move him to DT where his speed would be slightly above average.
  4. i'd rather take mercilus. he's just as fast as wright.
  5. The seafood enchiladas from chi chis
  6. Bill Self is a penis face and so are the ghost thralls in his army of the undead.
  7. The 28Mil number was very low end that's being reported by most Bears' writers. That number also didn't include Adams and Omiyale being cut. So, that alone would take it to 23Mil now including Forte (28M + 2-3M from cuts - 7.7 Forte tag). I've seen people that claim to be pretty good with how the cap works say the Bears STILL have about 30-33Mil after tagging Forte. My guess is the number is somewhere in the middle (will never know true number with crazy NFL cap rules). If the Bears did get Wallace, it would make sense to also go out and sign a DE. As now you won't get a top 50 player (though I do like Cam Johnson in the 2nd-3rd area). However, if they sign Jackson, I'd bring back Idonije for cheap and then go DE in the 1st. I'd be happy with whoever is there between Perry, Coples (long shot), Mercilus, Ingram, and maybe even Branch. this is what i'm thinking, too
  8. give me jackson and marcus mcneill and take mercilus in the first
  9. Yeah, but what's that figure when you add in the women's programs? You have to take the women's program into consideration for trivia like this. Actually my info was incorrect, Purdue has seven players that were 3-time B1G team selections, but they weren't all 1st team selections. Charles Murphy John Wooden Paul Hoffman (4 time) Terry Dischinger Dave Schellhase Rick Mount However, Purdue's media guide says only Dischinger, Schellhase and Mount (along with Hummel) were 3-time 1st team selections. Also, what's wrong with having a good women's program? I know IU's only sports are men's basketball and Notre Dame football but that's not the case for all schools. and they also have that helms trophy which is huge
  10. haha, the bears have to sign this guy! dancing alone in a bar with a hat pulled down over his face? awesome. this guy is cool as [expletive].
  11. he's been mentioned, but not prominently.
  12. http://espn.go.com/blog/chicago/bears/post/_/id/4675346/chargers-wr-jackson-on-bears-radar Looks like this has a pretty good chance of happening assuming the Bears will fork out the necessary cash, which they should. I still might take a WR in the 1st though, depending on who's there when our pick comes up. Bennett/Knox shouldn't be any better than our 3 and 4. our prom-queen-impregnating, alienzombie-fighting quarterback will make him a 1500-yard guy.
  13. it's funny because the pac-12 doesn't know how to make a basketball team
  14. yeah, if they want VJ and are offering the same as the bears are, why would he pick washington?
  15. that would be more than reasonable
  16. Exactly why I have wanted the Bears to make the move for Wallace all along. The FA WR class is missing some big names. Michael Floyd had a good combine and may go before 19. Vincent Jackson will have teams throwing all kinds of money at him, and will probably be more expensive than Wallace. He's also 4 years older and not as productive. Wallace, Grubbs, and then DE, WR, CB with the first 3 picks would be ideal. so are we not bringing one of bowman and jennings back? i'm beginning to warm to the idea of making a run at wallace. roethlisberger is a similar quarterback to jay--they both like to hold onto the ball and make more time for their receivers to get open, sometimes to their own peril. i'm down with grubbs, but i'm not cool with moving CW back to LT, so we'd probably be going into camp with Webb as our LT again, which may not be a terrible thing if he's on a short leash, i'll give him another chance. i'd probably go for cam johnson in the 2nd. then a big CB with our first 3rd and maybe sean spence with our second 3rd. i love AJ Jenkins, so I'm going to talk about him in the 4th, if he's there. then maybe a DT in the 5th.
  17. That would be a fun defense. OK, assuming we sign Williams, what would our next step be? who do we draft?
  18. mathis and the colts have reached an agreement i guess
  19. does that help us in the VJ sweepstakes? I don't know how taking more WR options of the market helps. well the word is that new england is going to be tough to beat for VJ
  20. does that help us in the VJ sweepstakes?
  21. the viet cong are at the gates of saigon, the faithful are rejoicing. bruce will soon be gone.
  22. lynch was MUCH better than forte last year, he was a top 3 back. the slight difference in run-blocking in no way predicts the gap in performance between the two of them.
  23. Huh? He's just having a random crusade against Forte. It will likely pass. yeah, he was only about a million times better last year with a similarly-ranked offensive line because he's not better than forte.
  24. i wouldn't give lynch a huge deal, either, but he's better than forte.
  25. Huh? what are you having trouble with, the fact that it sucks? yes, it does.
