That was all we heard about for the last 4 years. seriously we can't all get jay simpson-level recruits What's wrong with Jay Simpson? Hopefully his career will be as bad against Illinois as LewJack's was. there is no problem with jay simpson, he is a perfectly cromulent player.

i have no idea what he does as far as coaching goes. he's been extremely instrumental on the recruiting trail and everyone from chicago to downstate loves him. that's a powerful assistant to have on your bench and the reason why we all want to retain him.

the illini have a bunch of 4-star guys all over their roster and the best pg and sg in the state (as juniors in a stacked class) coming in in 2013. big whoop, you don't see us talking much about it.

but i'll admit, fran's doing a great job and i like him as a coach, they did a great job with that hire. iowa will never challenge for big ten titles with consistency, though. we all should be worried about that veritable fab 5 they have coming in next year.

You guys haven't attacked at all and earlier Leonard was dominating so much that Iowa couldn't really foul him. Haha it's because they're gassed. Not that they don't care. I mean it's possible the entire dove for that ball out of apathy. Yeah, case closed.

Seth Davis is talking about Smart to Illinois now. Please happen. he just retweeted something from some guy who thinks shaka smart is going everywhere, including uconn. but he did retweet it. Has Calhoun given any indication he's leaving, at all? if he does retire, and his back pain is out of control plus he's real old, it will be kevin ollie coaching uconn.

Who can? Well Bruce owns us. I say you stick with him. Oh I won't be sticking with Bruce regardless. If Mike Thomas keeps him, I'll pick another home state school to cheer for. I'm assuming Shaka will do fine against you though. Was checking out the Illini Scout board and found many of them to be under the impression that landing Jabari Parker is somehow contingent upon Bruce sticking around. Bruce couldn't recruit a fish to water yet he'll get Parker to Campaign? There's no way a Shaka Smart will make the slightest impression? howard wants to stay. if shaka is lured away, most likely one of his assistants will stay behind to be the new HC there, leaving at least one spot open for him. hiring deon thomas might not be a terrible idea, either, especially with parker. i've never thought that parker would end up at illinois and illinois doesn't need him, anyway. just keep pulling top 100 guys in and if you can coach, it will be fine. parker would be a nice kid to get, though.
