  1. Ladies and gentlemen, your Indiana Pacemakers.
  2. Sounds like Adrian Peterson to me!
  3. I can't believe this is the same team that lost to Missouri State. But then, I was looking over some of the top 25, and there are a lot of weird losses in that bunch. Assuming they beat Mississippi State on Saturday, where do you think they'll end up ranked?
  4. What's that ab--oh, they played UCLA.
  5. AGAIN! How about getting 2 points off the bench and beating the #7 team in the country? How about ANOTHER huge game against a top 10 team from Michael Washington? How about 5-11 Courtney Fortson getting 11 boards against a team with four guys 6-10 and up? Thanks for finally noticing Mike, Rivals.com. unranked to 12 among centers is a pretty nice jump. How much will he jump this week?
  6. Andrew Davie? Wow, how random.
  7. Well, this should be interesting.
  8. Wow. Arkansas 28 in one poll...36 in the other. Weird. And Oklahoma lost to 28/36 and fell 2 spots in both polls. Huh. If they can knock off #7 tomorrow, I bet they'll move up a spot or two.
  9. What's that, 9 in the last 6.5 games?
  10. I"ll take the free drive, thanks.
  11. You forgot #4 losing. \:D/
  12. I don't understand why Hendry hates second basemen.
  13. Thanks to OSU and Michigan. Michigan didn't exactly set the Big 10 back last year.
  14. I'm definitely going to be rooting for Penn State. I think it'll be much closer than most think - this PSU team is not the same OSU team that got blown away numerous times by athletic teams. Thank you. This "Big 10 teams get killed in BCS games" nonsense has to end. Since when are all teams from a conference over multiple seasons exactly the same? I"m sick of it too. It's not like it's been different teams every year. It's just OSU getting their ass whooped perennially. That has nothing to do with anybody else in the conference in a completely different season.
  15. Pearl turned down who? Fortson? Weird. So, the Hogs play Texas next Tuesday. I'm not worried about North Texas, though the team should go at them seriously. I haven't seen them play. What should i expect? EDIT: I didn't realize Michael Washington was such a highly thought of recruit. He was Rivals's #35 prospect in 2006, which really sticks out when you consider that 10 of the guys ahead of him are already in the NBA. He's another guy I wouldn't expect to keep next year if he keeps playing at his current level.
  16. =D> Holy crap, it turns out this team is good enough to compete at a high level. After that Missouri State loss, I was thinking they wouldn't be there this year, but it turns out that they're already a completely different team. Hey rivals.com! Do you see my boy Washington? Think he can get in your top 25 now?! If things continue like they're going right now, 5-10 not withstanding, the Hogs are only going to get 1 year of Courtney Fortson. Like I said, they can shoot with anybody. Size is an issue with this team, because outside of Washington and Sanchez, they don't have any high-minute big men. But tonight that was enough. Fortson didn't even shoot well, but he still nearly put up a triple double. I didn't think there was any chance the Hogs could be this good this year after Patrick Beverley "left" the team.
  17. Wow, they did it. They freaking did it. \:D/ \:D/ \:D/ \:D/ \:D/ \:D/
  18. As this game draws nearer, I'm feeling a little better about the Hogs' chances against the Sooners. I hadn't really had a good grasp of how much better they are now than they were at the start of the season--that'll happen when you're starting three frehsmen, though. I still don't expect them to win, but I don't expect them to get blown out anymore. They've played good defense all year. It'll depend on how well the Razorbacks establish an inside presence, because they can shoot from the outside with anybody as long as they get good open looks.
  19. I can certainly understand why people would pick the Ravens over the Dolphins. One thing I don't get, though, is how people can keep calling Indianapolis and San Diego the hottest teams in football. Indy, hell yeah. The Chargers? For winning 4 straight? The Dolphins have won 5 straight and 9 out of 10. Why do they never get mentioned for being hot?
  20. Was that the Times that had that unbelievable headline when Ike Turner died?
  21. I honestly was expecting How Can She Slap?!?! when I read the thread title.
  22. Don't get this. Aren't the Dolphins one of the most popular NFL franchises?
  23. Gotta love how the Madden curse got confused and just wrecked two franchises. Slightly, maybe. I don't think Pennington is solely the reason the Dolphins are better. It's a mixture of numerous good moves (Fasano, Ayodele, Pennington, etc) and much better coaching. And much, much, much better health. Remember, the Dolphins were starting their 6th string running back, 3rd string quarterback, #3 and #4 wide receivers, #3 tight end, #5 and #6 safeties, #2 and #3 corners, #5 and #6 linebackers, #4 and #5 defensive tackles by week 10 last year. Dolphins were not a good team from jump, but they weren't 1-15 bad by any stretch of the imagination with adequate quarterback play and health.
  24. I heard OU plays Arkansas on December 30. What are you talking about? I said Thursday, but I meant Tuesday. I'm looking forward to it just to see how they play against very high level competition. This is a really young but really fun to watch squad. They run, shoot the three, and they can play D when they want to. Their rebounding also belies their lack of size. They also have two of Rivals's top 15 freshmen in Fortson and Clarke...of course, they're not quite 12 feet between them, so there's that. I think this team has a lot of ptential but isn't ready yet. I think I'll learn a lot about theme in the upcoming games against OK and TX.
  25. IMB IT'S ON THURSDAY please don't kill us
