What's the beef against Boise? What good team would want to play Boise State? Major conference teams don't gain anything from it...and they stand to potentially lose a lot. This is what I hate about the dumb system more than anything else. There's this one guy on another board who keeps saying that it's Boise's fault that they're not ranked higher because of not scheduling better nonconference opponents. Yeah, way easier said than done, obviously.

the rebels offense was bound to wake up at some point this season, just like they did last year at about this same point. just too bad it was against your hogs. and ya, arkansas are shooting themselves in the foot with the drops and the rifle throws. 17-0, rebs now. Yeah, Mallet has been off target, trying to hit home runs too often. .....now he's put together a couple nice throws. Yeah, he was, but it wasn't all him. Those 4 drops were HUGE (on very catchable balls), and he's had to throw the ball away 3 times and got sacked once (on the first play of the game) because of defenders breaking through unblocked. Also, I really don't understand why Arkansas doesn't run more screens. Ole Miss really let Arkansas back in the game in the last 5 minutes, letting them build some momentum on both sides of the ball. They get it back to start the second half, too.

Wright dropping a perfect pass 5 yards from the nearest defender doesn't help. Arkansas receivers have dropped 2 passes on 3rd down that would have easily gotten the first downs and a would-be huge gainer. :(

Oh man, I hope that gets on Youtube quick. :lol: I'm gonna miss the 4th quarter or more of Arkansas/Ole Miss today because I have a show at 2. :sad: Maybe I'll get lucky and Arkansas'll make it a non-issue by that point.

If Tulsa and Utah are 2/5 of your likely confirmed schedule, you're probably going to have a pretty decent schedule.

So, what's this we have? * good teams losing to terrible teams * excellent teams from last year getting curbstomped (my condolences, dew) * 10 different quarterbacks threw 10 or more passes and completed less than half of them...and none of those was Jamarcus Russell I'm kind of glad I slept through most of the games today.

I'd say it's probably a bit of both. I have a vote in TSN's FCS poll and this week dropped Montana two spots from No. 2 to No. 4 because they've struggled against lower ranked teams multiple times while a couple other teams (Southern Illinois and Villanova) both picked up very impressive road wins yesterday. I'm sure some of the 29 voters who switched from Florida to Alabama did so as a knee-jerk reaction but others probably did it as a body of work thing. Where'd you put UCA? :D

Well, that's not true by any means--not when you get 4 turnovers and don't capitalize. But when you're getting blatantly bad call against you in critical situations, that's pretty tough to recover from.

Arkansas would kill Purdue. Not comparable. Yeah, I was gonna say, comparing Arkansas to Purdue isn't really fair to Arkansas.

There's not a lot to explain. Ted Ginn dropped a touchdown pass with seconds to go in the game. The coverage was solid, but if Ginn his hands like a normal person, the Dolphins take the lead with about 20 seconds to go. This in spite of the worst clock management I have ever seen in the final minutes of that game.

Haha, Arkansas vs. Georgia Tech...I'd have to find a way to go that game and root for nobody. (I grew up in Arkansas a Hogs fan, and went to school at Georgia Tech.)

Call me a homer, but I definitely don't see Miami at the level of the rest of that bunch you've named. They've been in every game they've played, and their three losses are to teams with a combined 10-3 record, all of which made the playoffs last year. It can be argued that they should have beaten Indy, and they were doing fine against SD until the Pennington injury followed almost immediately by a pick 6. They're first in the league in rushing and rushing defense. They're low ranked in pass defense, but they're playing two rookie corners and their first three games were against playoff teams with Pro Bowl quarterbacks. I'm not saying they're great by any means, but I wouldn't be betting on them ending up with a top 10 pick. And regarding their assumed non-contention...if they win tonight, they'll be one game behind NE and NYJ for first in the AFC East, and 2-0 in division. Not in the driver's seat by any means, but certainly not an afterthought, either.

Arkansas is 32nd in both polls, haha. Also, I knew Joe Adams, Arkansas's leading receiver, was held out of the game this weekend, but didn't know why. Now that I do know, I'm kind of flabbergasted...a mild stroke?
