  1. I'd guess far more than half the pitchers in the Majors are worse than a 4.00 ERA. That's just a testament to how poor and diluted the overall talent pool is, especially in terms of pitching. Doesn't make a 4 ERA any better. It doesn't matter, his starting ERA was 4.87

  3. The genius of Hendry and his love for mediocrity. Wait, are you saying Glendon Rusch is not mediocre? If 4.87=4.00, then you are correct.

  5. No, I'd have to go look that one up. Don't worry about it. I was just wondering because it seems like we don't play very well there. I think we went .500 against them in the GABP last year. We were something like 3-6 against them in Wrigley last year, however.
  6. Santo just averaged 31,000 and 30,000 and got 31,500
  7. Did anyone else here just enjoy the Binny's radio commercial with the porno background music?
  8. 2 homers and 2 warning track shots. I feel good!
  9. You instinctively swing when the runner goes, Ron?
  10. According to Pat Hughes, you are correct.
  11. use the PM system. And you should probably edit your post to get rid of your email. Tim can't do much about spambot crawlers, I reckon.

  13. I'll wait for his next start.
  14. All news stories say the terms were not disclosed. Something mentioned that it was for less than $1million per season. My guess is that it's on a per year basis, but that's just a guess. less than $1 million? The Budwesier house contract is for $300k or so (that's the rumor around the neighborhood) and it's not even official. Well, that seems about right since it's not shown on TV. It's only going to be seen by people at those bars or from the el platform. Not even really by people entering the bleachers. I guess we'll just have to wait until Friday to see if there is going to be anything noticeable from inside the stadium. I just hope it's not as big as you had it, though. I don't see why the Cubs would need to agree to make it that big. It's slightly smaller than I had it. Just walked past it again. But probably 80% of the size that I had it. I'll take a pciture tomorrow.
  15. If anybody wants good seats to some of the games in August, there are a number of them available. I just scored bleachers for 70's night (August 1st).

  17. Maybe I'll make myself a "Bleacher Fan sponsored by Old Style" shirt to wear in the bleachers. I mean, the Bud Light Bleachers.
  18. The open spaces will not be filled with bricks
  19. Oh my god, how did I miss that. Wow. It was just going up when I went by at about 8:50
