  1. Dansby has led the team in WAR both years he's been here. His defense is invaluable.
  2. Let's say his next start is 80 pitches. That start would be on or about April 30th. Then his next start should be about May 7th. Should we expect around 85 pitches? Or do you think they pull back? And if he needs a 3rd start, that's in the May 14th range. What's the number of pitches? Maybe 90? He's clearly 100% healthy, and his stuff looks great, except for a bit of control issues. After that 3rd start, why wouldn't they put him in the rotation in the 3rd full week of May? I feel like stretching him out is the only reason he's not up yet. I'd hat to "waste" too many innings in Iowa. Let's say he throws 30 innings in Iowa, and maybe a dozen starts with the Cubs for let's call it 60 more innings. Conservatively, that would take him to the middle to end of July. He can pitch the last couple of months in the pen to finish off his innings limit. Am I viewing this wrong?
  3. I was GUESSING that 100 seemed reasonable. JRoss thinks it could be 120 innings. I hope he's right.
  4. I was thinking 100 IP. I like yours better. Even if he has to spend the end of the season in the pen to finish out his innings, he'd be helping the team. I don't want to see him shut down do to innings.
  5. I couldn't have written this any better! I think 2-3 more starts, and then join the team in the 2nd or 3rd full week of May.
  6. They need to just keep him in the game longer. He will improve if he pitches deeper in to games. He is 100% a starter. This season, he should probably get put in the pen the last couple of months to finish out his innings limit. But he should use every inning possible as a starter.
  7. Hoerner is one of the best second baseman in the game. He should never move. Happ can not play 2B at all. IF they were going to make one of Kelly or Moises the DH, it certainly wouldn't be Kelly. Welcome
  8. Well, Sptorac has his new market value at 12/533.
  9. Berti is also an option. It's not going to happen often, but the periodic appearance by Suzuki, Tucker, Berti, or maybe even Happ, shouldn't really hurt us.
  10. I would assume that they work backwards from each SP starts, and have them throw on that day while also letting them go deep in the game.
  11. Where did you hear that the Cubs got all the money from tickets? I read that they split the ticket sales. How it's split is unknown.
  12. Or they can not do any of this crap.
  13. It's starting at 7:10 pm Tokyo time.
  14. I responded because you said Berti or Brujan. Not both. It's never going to be both because Berti is a lock, so it'a Workman or Brujan. And Workman is also a lock.
  15. Yes it is. Bottom 4% of the league. But, there's not a lot of guys better at blocking the ball!
  16. It's not Berti or Brujan. It's Brujan or Workman. Brujan is getting DFA as soon as Nico is back. Hopefully in less than 2 weeks.
  17. Me too! Also, Morgan is missed by me at times. But Brasier by far the most.
  18. I can't imagine any scenario that Brujan is on the roster. Workman has clearly and decisively won the last position on the roster. Workman is already on the 40, so no roster move is needed. I think Hollowell is an easy choice to DFA. Although the Cubs may feel differently.
  19. Both Boyd and Jaimo are pitching in the exhibition games. Putting them on the 26 man roster would not make sense. It's best off to go with 2-3 SP and the rest pen guys.
  20. Jaimo will be one of the 5 guys on the travel squad. He won't be on the active roster.
  21. I think that they only carry 2-3 SP, and the rest are pen guys. Jaimo and Boyd are 2 that won't be on the 26 man roster.
  22. If Shaw wasn't going to start these LAD games, I think he would have stayed back to get additional at bats in. Opposed to only playing the 2 exhibition games in a 9 day span. I really don't think they brought him along to watch. My guess is that carry 10-11 pen guys on the 26 man roster. I also don't think the 40 is an issue when I look at it. Keegan is going to create an opening for either Shaw or Keller. There's a few options to open up another spot without affecting the 40 in a negative way.
  23. There's a few guys that won't be missed if they were removed right now. They can also 60 day DL Assad and/or Little if they think they are going to be missing more time than originally thought. I mean neither guy has thrown a pitch in a game this year. I'd bet anything that Shaw didn't make this trip to watch. They don't really have any sort of 40 man roster crunch when taking a look at all 40 of them. Adding him would be a piece of cake.
