    No [expletive]? I was going to make fun of you but quickly realized I'm jealous. I was in a league with all hipsters (nothing against you if you are a hipster) and none of them could catch or field and couldnt kick the ball out of the infield You try playing kickball ironically and see how well you do. the skinny jeans severely limit one's range of motion I, too, have played kickball with hipsters. That is, I kick hipsters in the balls.

    I'm more of a well wisher, in that I don't wish them any specific harm. Seriously, the Hawks are probably my 2nd team (like the O's in baseball) with the Caps being #1. I'm still excited for this though, as its cool to have a team that I'm actually have some vesting interest in doing so well. That being said, couldn't this list apply to any bandwagon? Except its missing #6: The douche who only cheers for winners and can't name a single player or at least constantly gets the names (Tows instead of Taves) wrong. Those exist for EVERY bandwagon, this one isn't exempt. I still at times refuse to call Byflugien Buff-lin but instead would refer to him as By-fuge-ly-en, just because I can (and it will piss of diehards).

    are you looking at his totals for each year or just his numbers even for partial years (as BR has them set out)? 107, 74, 145, 72, 68, 121, 100, 61, 66. 5 years of suck. 2 years of average or better. a really good year. and a great year. A lot of those are partial seasons, but 3 of his best seasons were full seasons. I'd say his career has been pretty much a roller coaster. I didn't look at B-A, but MLB.com which doesn't split it up like that. 107 74 145 72 68 121 100 61 66 That's not a roller coaster, that's a railroad of suck with a couple of bumps in it. 8 years (not including this one): 4 bad, 2 average or slightly better, 2 really good/great. I guess you've been on different roller coasters than I have. The first season was only 90 innings. So its closer to 4+ bad, 1 1/2 average, 1 good, 1 great.

    Or: Because of the ability to have the other boards and people being able to look things up on their phones, a new scoreboard is unnecessary. Wrigley is gonna have to update their cell phone coverage if that is going to be what we rely on. I can't even send a text at the game, let alone look up stats. Wrigley isn't your service provider.

    If you look closely at the top frame of NHL.com, where the teams are listed, the only two that still have color in their logos when the mouse isn't on them are the Hawks and Flyers. Subtle, but neat.

    I've seen video of the end of game 4 from the CBC feed. The sound is a hell of a lot better. You can actually tell there is a crowd there, and that they are loud.

    Wouldn't just about any sports bar be able to put this on? It's on NBC. My guide says it's on Versus. It is on NBC? You must have Comcast, as their guide is regularly wrong. Its on NBC at 7.

    Thats how they do all the ice markings (lines, circles, ads/insignia). They put down a layer of ice, paint the ice, then put down a top layer. At the end of the season, all they have to do is scrape it up and let it melt.

    Spot starting for Friendly Confines. He'll have it tomorrow win or loss. Dodgers: Ely has been "found money" for the Dodgers in manager Joe Torre's eyes, and it's hard to argue. The rookie right-hander was called up at the end of April because the Dodgers were desperate for pitching, and all Ely's done is throw strikes. He went 89 batters without issuing a walk until the first inning of his last start, against the Tigers. That was his only walk in his last four starts. He went six innings, allowed two runs on eight hits and notched his third straight win. All five of Ely's starts have been six innings or longer. His velocity sits in the high-80s, but he's striking out batters too: 28 in 31 2/3 innings. Cubs: In his previous start, against the Rangers on Friday night, Lilly pitched 6 2/3 innings while giving up two runs on six hits with four strikeouts in a 2-1 loss. In five career starts and one relief appearance against the Dodgers, Lilly is 3-1 with a 3.94 ERA. In three starts at home this season, he is 0-2 with a 5.68 ERA.

    Both are balks. You can't cross your legs and you can't move towards home and then go to first. Pretty much every left handed pickoff move you see in MLB is a balk, and I really don't understand why they let it stay that way. The first one was borderline but the second one was obvious. Buehrle clearly starts his motion towards the plate and then goes to first.

Basically, Grabow isn't good, but at the same time he has been unlucky and isn't as bad as this. Doesn't mean he should have been signed, just that he should improve. The reason I compare him to Cotts is because of this post I made in the Grabow signing thread that compared the two:
