    Jones came in and shoved one official in the back. I'm surprised he wasn't ejected. Maybe I'm blind then because i saw some fat assistant coach for Pitt starting something 59 yards from his sideline and didn't see Jones do anything That was happening too. Honestly, both these teams are full of idiots. The NFL (Goodell) has got to be pissed with how this game went.

    I was wondering how that would work out. I believe 14 and 18 were the only numbers in the teens that were not either in use or retired. 14 was the only one, 18 is Didi Gregorius. EDIT: Actually, 17 will be available. Ryan hasn't been included in the trade yet and is still listed on the Yankees roster (mlb.com). I wonder if this has to do with 40-man rule stuff.

    i love javy and even i think this is ridiculous They can add other minor pieces as well. Still ridiculous. Archer, much like Fernandez, will not be traded unless the return is insane. Not only is he really good, but his contract is amazing for the Rays ($41mm until 2021).

    Man, WHAT are you watching...he is actually about 3/4 of the way down the line by the time the ump waves for time. You must have some heartfelt sympathy toward the Blue Jays or something. Yeah, he was almost to the ump when the call was made. Also: Andrus must be Canadian Leave to the catcher to actually know how to catch a ball.

    Nope, he was completely in the batters box. The rule is correct, the ump shouldn't have called the play dead.

    And now Texas is melting down.

    After a pitch, Martin went to throw the ball back to the pitcher but it hit Choo's bat (standing in the batters box) and went towards 3rd. Odor ran home but the HP ump called the ball dead before he got there. By rule the ball should've been still alive. After the play, the umps got together and ruled that Odor should and would've scored, so they awarded the run, and everything went to hell.

    On August 1st, the Cubs run diff was +6. It's now +40.

    Glorious. I love the catcher catching the throw and turning to make the play at the play only to find that there's nobody there.

    No. While I would love to add a bat like Tulowitzki's, Tulowitzki has been injured too much in the past four years to be worth the risk of paying $98mil over the next 5. Tulowitzki would be worth trading some lesser prospects, but the risk of him missing significant amount of time is too high. Tulowitzki, by the way, not whatever the hell you wrote.
