    30000? that would be the smallest* capacity in the MLB by about 5000. *The Trop is restricted to 25000, but without the tarps it's 42000.

    I was mostly replying to IrrDudes original post about Teix, Encarnacion, Bautista, and Ramirez but was also at work and missed the other posts. He posted 4 guys and had a response about Mervis being 25, but two of them didn't really succeed until they were 29 and in Toronto. Frankly, if Mervis puts up Edwin's line of .260/.336/.453 (with 24 hr and 81 rbi per 162 gp because those certainly are stats) from his pre-29 years, I'd consider that a huge success. Especially in todays game where last year Josh Bell put up a similar line (although split between being good in WAS and ass in SD) and had an OPS+ of 128.

    Lance Lynn had a no-hitter through 6. Gave up a homerun on a 0-2 count to Franco to start the 7th, a k, single, double with an error to let Parades advance to third, and walk later is finally pulled. Bummer comes in and gets a ground ball but it still ends up being a game tying infield single. And now the Rays are leading.

    They could only get a 4th for next year for pick 10, may not be anyone looking to move up at this point.

    One of the funniest things was back from 2012-2015, while the Cubs rebuilt and the White Sox "kept trying to compete", they both ended up going 297-351 over those 4 years.

    Pitt wins and they're in control of making the playoffs with a 1 point lead over the Islanders with each team having one to play, Islanders against Montreal, and Pitt getting CBJ. Pitt: Nah, screw that.

    I think Kyle Finnegan is supposed to be their closer, but he had already been used in the 8th. They went to the 9th leading 7-2. Their bullpen is really bad.

    Mexico is up 10-3 in the 8th inning so looking like Mexico will advance and finish 1st if the US wins. Also keeps alive the small chance that the US can advance with a 1 run loss. Hypothetical as the US is the "away" team: if it's a tie game, bottom of the ninth and a runner reaches, do you balk him in?

    I went to the game last night and while I fully acknowledge that it's better for them to lose, that was a fun game to be at. Got tickets 6 rows back behind the visitor penalty box.
