  1. Be nice to win this one, get to 500 with a good chance to get over against the As before the home opener.
  2. There a reason why the Astros gave this guy up for Juan Bello and it wasn't because they thought he could still close out games 🙄
  3. When he gets traded and they make Turner the DH 🤷‍♂️😅
  4. Not only did they pocket his money, they also just traded Poteet whom they traded Bellinger for, to the Orioles for Cash. 😅
  5. Surprise to see both Workman and Berti in lineup at same time this early, oh well, I guess you gotta get them their AB sometimes
  6. Aaron Judge.. They just finished the 4th Judge is 3 for 4, 3 Homers and 7 RBI Yankees now have 16 runs on 8 homers, they need 2 more to tie BlueJays for MLB record in game with 10
  7. Damn, Yankees are crushing the Brewers today. It only the 3rd inning they already have 13 runs on 7 homers. They started game with back to back to back on 3 straight pitches, Judge has 2 homers already.
  8. Nico supposed to get some early days off as he still in recover mode, so I'd expect it to be for him in the early going of the schedule. Shaw needs to get consistent ABs now to show if he can adjust to Major league pitching but I'd expect a day off soon for him to just take a breathe and get back out there, especially if he looks overmatched this weekend.
  9. No they can't but doesn't mean they won't or at least a couple of these guys won't be bad and gone come June. Nothing meatballery there just fact, never really seen a team's pen stay fully intact for a full year. There's always gonna be a couple guys that just dont cut it and in the Cubs case, they have a couple intriguing younger arms in Iowa that aren't going to stay there all season.
  10. Most of these pen guys will be gone by June and yes we will see guys that are in Iowa come up throughout the season.
  11. Shaw gonna end up with quite a few infield hits with Hoerner and PCA beating throws to 2B 😅😅
  12. Now we get to watch the trash bin bullpen blow this 🙄
  13. Hopefully our pitching can be better then theirs, I'll be good with a split.
  14. We've been dealing with this since Wrigley and more so the Tribune Company when they owned them, don't spend more then needed to keep fans in the seats. Keep fans entertained with Harry, WF, and a very good player or two and the ballpark will be full. If we win great, if not maybe next year
  15. Because he is also likely adding into it, all of the neighborhood he bought up and had redone.
  16. Here something else I've been thinking lately. The CBA expires after 2026, and a likelihood that there may be a shutdown on the owners side with the 2027 season as I've heard. Outside of Swanson, the only other player they have under contract pass 2026 is Imanaga, which ends after 2027. I can't help to wonder if TR have told Hoyer no more longterm big money deals now because he wants to wait to see the outcome of the new CBA and or other reasons related. Not saying it will keep them from extending Tucker, but it could be a reason they don't extend him and or sign a big name FA this coming offseason. We could just see the same type of offseason as this past one with Tucker and Pressly as the only big named players possibly leaving via FA, and replace them within or with someone on another 1 or 2 year deal. New POBO/GM comes in slow and doesn't offer anyone big contracts in his first offseason, they play out 2026 and has a clean roster going into 2026 offseason with a new CBA pending
  17. Jed setting himself up to leave after the season, and it ok because this team needs a new set of ideas on putting a roster together, especially if TR continues to put limitations on the payroll.
  18. Cubs can win their division if they can just avoid playing bad baseball for most of the season. Pirates are shitt, Reds are blah, and the Brewers and Cardinals are taking a Sabbatical for the time being. Cubs are the kings of we don't have to get alot better, we just wait til everyone else gets worse in our division. 😅
