  1. These guys go to plate and theyre seeing guys like Nolan Ryan, Steve Carlton, Jim Palmer standing on the mound against them. They look like they have zero confidence up there and swinging just to swing
  2. Just saw Orioles claimed Brujan, well I guess we know who getting the game winning hit today. 😏😏😏😅
  3. Well we all know 2 runs isnt winning this game today.
  4. So if Tucker is hurt and cant swing normal, then why not just bat him lower in the order and bat say Nico second
  5. They got lucky... There's a big big difference between the two though, the first one Kelly a slow footed catcher, wasn't running 270 feet to try and outrun a throw, a 3B coach should know his baserunners and know outside of a errant throw he going to be nailed, and also know who is coming up afterwards, which was Castro. There's being aggressive and theres being stupid, this send was being stupid.
  6. Counsell needs a new 3B coach, I dont care if theres 2 outs and they've been struggling for runs , that was a terrible send with a slow footed catcher. I'd take my chances with Castro up with runners on 2nd and 3rd
  7. Cubs need to put a 10 spot up on the Orioles today
  8. If he can do better recognizing the low ones, he'll be much much better, they seem to stay low on him often, likely with the breaking pitches.
  9. Off topic but important to the division race, Brewers just scratched Mis from his start and placed him on IL. Frelick knee is day to day Chourio on 10 day IL Maybe the baseball gods are done helping the Brewers 😅😅😅
  10. I actually feel that the max they go with Tucker is 10/400, unless they front load money, I dont think theyll want to be paying Tucker 40+ mil while hes in his late 30s going into his 40s, he'll be 29 at the start of next season. Of course if TR plans on selling in the next 10 years then it could be different 🤷‍♂️😆
  11. For me it just gives an idea on how they have been playing the last what 2 months, and continuing this pace isnt likely going to get them the division unless the Brewers fall flat. Hot start, mediocre middle, now they have to at least finish somewhere in between the two these last 52 games. 32 and 20 would be pretty good heading into the playoffs.
  12. I just went back since the break, didn't realize they've been 500 this long. They need to figure something out these final 50+ games. They likely need to finish at least 32-20 to finish ahead if thd Brewers, unless the Brewers go into a funk themselves and start playing 500 ball for the next month.
  13. This.. just stick with Hoerner at leadoff and break up the lefties a bit vs lefties and righties starters. Hoerner Tucker Suzuki PCA Kelly Happ Busch Swanson Shaw Castro can be used anytime
  14. Something needs to happen to get this team rolling again, 500 ball last 14 games isnt going to cut it. Not like they can go get anyone to get them a spark, it up to the regulars on the roster now.
  15. Well, let see if any of the big 3 bats can get this run home Tucker Zuki PCA
  16. Now bats will just go down in order easily
  17. Not turning the DP on Jackson GB hurt, should of been end of inning up 2
  18. Lmao.. of course Had many chances to put them away and boom they blow the lead late
  19. Baseball gods at it again.. Happ played 2B for cubs: run score Hoerner current everyday 2Bmen: 2 rbi Castro today 2Bmen: 2 run score Are all involved with the scoring today for cubs 😅
  20. Castro is exactly the type of guy they needed for the bench, they can insert him to give guys a day off and he'll give them quality AB, unlike the other knuckleheads they had/have.
  21. Find a way to win another ball game Ryne Sandberg Day #23
  22. Looking at future contracts for the current position players, only Swanson has a guarenteed deal pass 2026. Happ Suzuki Hoerner and Kelly contract expires after 2026 Tucker deal expires this season PCA Amaya Busch and Shaw are all under team control for a few more years. Upcoming Prospects. Caissie(23) OF, Ballesteros(21) C/DH, Rojas(20) 2B/SS Alcantara (23)OF, Long(23)CI/OF, Triantos(22) 2B/OF These are for now, the position prospects that are ready or almost ready to move up. 2026 position players under contract/control C. Amaya Kelly 1B Busch 2B Hoerner SS Swanson 3B Shaw LF Happ CF PCA RF ? DH Suzuki UT UT UT UT Now with the upcoming possibility of a strike for 2027, theres that possibility that Hoyer/TR decides this offseason that it best to stick with what they have under contract/control and just play out 2026 and depending on where theyre at deadline 2026, they could move expiring contracts of Happ Suzuki Hoerner and Kelly. Happ and Suzuki : easier to get a waiver of NTC at deadline if theres zero interest to extend. Tucker: I can see Hoyer/TR pass on resigning Tucker for the years and money it'll cost if the plan is to just get through 2026 and move the expiring contracts, and prepare for a strike in 2027. Caissie: He obviously would be the likely candidate to replace Tucker in RF. Ballesteros: 21 yo, is still young enough to keep in Iowa another year or at least until they move guys at the 2026 deadline. Alcantara: has an opportunity to be the 4th OFer in 2026. Long: has an opportunity to be the Turner guy but can also play OF in 2026 Triantos: has an opportunity to be a utility player in 2026 Rojas: being just 20 yo, will likely be up in 2027 or 2028 and can be Hoerner or Swanson replacement So, I can now see why Hoyer may have been reluctant to pull the trigger on dealing any of his top prospects, as he could have been really looking ahead to 2027 and beyond. He will have more controllable players and money to spend on FA after the 2026 and more so 2027 season as he wont have many players under contract after 2026. This is just my thoughts and opinion on this matter.
