Tomorrow we'll see Brown demoted to Iowa and a reliever brought up til Thursday when he'll be sent back for Imanaga

I said before, he'd be perfect to finish the season in bullpen, he can be good for an inning or two. They should just let him work on stuff in Iowa though and have him ready if needed later in year and be more then ready for next season.

Ben Brown just isn't ready for a 3rd time through order, especially with just two pitches that he throws 99% of time. Cubs had bases loaded 1 out and and a chance to tie or take lead, got nothing Cards come up and get two 2 run homers after 2 outs...

I had no idea what Bruce was reporting, just going off my own feeling about Alcantara. With Sale hurt now, just feel if there is a deal to be had sooner rather then later, I just think Alcantara would be the choice for a TOR type that could be available now off a bad team.

Yes , I just looked , he pitched Sunday , faced 4 batters gave up a hit, walk, and got 1 K. 2/3 of inning

If Hoyer is going to make a move for a SP soon, I have a feeling it will be for Alcantara who has had 4 pretty good outings in a row now this month. This week with the rotation shuffling due to Imanaga return, this would be a good week to make that deal, plus you wanna get as many starts from him as possible going forward.

Didn't realize he did have another outing after the one he got thrashed in and 4 all together, I agree it not about stats, I just thought he only had the one outing and figured why not give him another.

Why not give Hodge another game in Iowa after not looking so good in his only rehab appearance.

Would love to see the Cubs just dominate this series and remove all hope from the Cardinals to catching them. Make this the start of the Cardinals downfall. Or just get me a split 🤷♂️😅

It actually better, 4 up on Brewers and 4.5 on Cardinals now. After going 5 and 5 the last 10, they lost 2 games to the Brewers and 1 on the Cardinals which isnt bad at all. I normally dont scoreboard watch til August if theyre playing well and have a chance and would be happy to be either at least 5 up or within 5 on September 1st. Cubs are fine now, just keep avoiding the long losing streak, add some upgrades, and if they can play 600 ball the rest of way, they'll end up with around 95 wins.

Ok, goodbye Raleigh, go hit 40 more homers the rest of year and mostly against the other NL teams, especially against the Brewers and Cardinals when you play them.

The guy they pulled up from Iowa just hit his 4th HR and has a .773 OPS for them so far. Gets tossed from game for asking for time out 😅

No, wondering cause he was slow getting up the inning before when he dove for ball and kinda weird to PH for him with Turner leading off an inning in the 7th.
