Palencia is a dude.. W 4 games in St. Louis off the schedule and lose no ground. Gave up 16 runs the first 2 games and shut them out the next 2, now that how you rebound.

Yea, as much as I like Shaw and his glove, I think it will be best for him to go back down and really put some work in with the bat and be ready for 2026. Obviously they'll need to go get another 3Bmen beforehand and im really hoping now that Hoyer can get Suarez who could be back tomorrow, sooner rather then later.

Great job by Imanaga, hes likely done if hes on a pitch count. Hopefully we have the good bullpen today and the bats can add on a few more.

He hasn't sucked and is holding his own, that all you can ask for. It will kinda suck if they let him go when Amaya returns unless they decide to keep 3 catchers and place Turner on a long IL stint til like September 1st when rosters expand.

They could live with Shaw growing pain with the bat if they were getting better production out of Swanson and the Catcher spot like they were early in season, but having multiple guys struggling at bottom of order just magnifies the rookie struggle more then usual.

Nobody under him other then Busch that would make much of a difference and if you bat Hoerner 5th or 6th then the bottom 3 will all be basically easy outs and noone with a decent OBP to get on in front of the top of order. Swanson Shaw and McGuire batting in a row would be a pitchers dream 😳

Boyd will shut them down tonight and have that needed QS going 6 or 7. I am really expecting something big out of PCA tonight, nothing crazy but a key hit or two that sparks the offense. Cubs will be on tonight

Id rather just take Bednar and use whatever sources that was gonna be added for Keller, elsewhere for a better SP. I dont think Keller will be much of an upgrade if any over just staying with Horton and hes definitely not that TOR guy they need.
