  7. Until he gets suspended. 8-[ Not that I love ARod, but if Bud suspends him, that would be BUSH league. The integrity of this whole situation is ridiculoous, and if ARod gets suspended, so should every player who didn't break the rules and got caught. I'm not saying it's okay that ARod cheated, but so did alot of others, and Bud knows who they are. If he suspends ARod, he needs to sack up and suspend everyone who tested positive. If he does that, however, it's absurd, because NO RULES WERE BROKEN. I completely agree. Baseball needs to move forward already. What's done is done.
  8. Until he gets suspended. 8-[

  13. I got these from both of them Friday and thought I would just post them so that others have more of idea what will and won't be available. I think Dan has had trouble for some reason getting access to this forum.
  14. MM Keepers Major: CC Sabathia Felix Hernandez AJ Burnett Matt Holiday Adrian Gonzalez Minors: TBD DBS Keepers: Major:TBD Minor: Yonder Alonzo Angel Villalona Michael Bowden Madison Bumgarner
  15. If we go with the two division format I am okay with the 3rd and 4th best team going to the playoffs instead of one from each division. If we did go with a 3 division set up as was suggested that would eliminate this problem, same with a 4 division set up. This will not be a big disadvantage. There are possibly 8 carryover teams (7 confirmed) which would total 32 minors leaguers. That still leaves 18 of the top 50 prospects and 68 of the top 100.
  16. From reading the setup info, from what I can tell, it looks like we can enter our current keepers as draft picks. Then the new members of the league will be able to make their selections from the FA pool from rounds 1 through 5 without the rest of us having to make selections. Then once Round 6 comes around everyone will be caught up. For the minor league players we should be able to do the same thing except place them in the last four rounds of the draft. Hosak, have you looked into this yet? If so, do you come to the same conclusion?
  17. Not for us savvy scouters. ;) I forgot we increased the major league roster size by two (23 to 25). I thought what we could do is break the league in half for us as far as watchdogging rosters. We can determine the actual breakdown once we have the divisions set.
  18. Major Keepers: Grady Sizemore CF David Wright, 3B Johan Santana, SP Roy Oswalt, SP Josh Beckett, SP Minor Keepers: Gordon Beckham, SS, Chicago AL Michael Stanton, OF, Florida Ramon Ramirez, SP, Cincinnati Jeremy Hellickson, SP, Tampa Bay
  19. I wonder why? We should be able to change that.
  20. I'm in.
  21. I am getting this error when trying to join the league: You have been invited to join this league, however we can't seem to locate your information within the league database. Please contact the commissioner of your league and ask him/her to re-invite you.
  22. DSB has told me he'll get signed up tonight. I sent Jiddy an e-mail to get signed up ASAP. Two, three or four divisions is fine with me. Two divisions of eight would make the games between division rivals more meaningful though. As far there could be a better team missing the playoffs in Division 1 but that happens in sports. Look at the NFL this season. Patriots at 11-5 sit home while the 8-8 Chargers go to the dance. This could also happen in a 4 division system. Let's set the deadline for keepers next Thursday 2/26 (since Wednesday is Ash Wednesday).
  23. The first year of the league we played 2 games per week. 2006 = 30-16 (missed playoffs by 1 game) 2007 = 17-6 (tied with Roady for 2nd and lost tie-breaker by less than 10 points) 2008 = 18-5(won division and then team decided to have mental breakdown against MM in 1st round) You don't have to be bitter just because you can't get over the 6 win plateau. ;)
  24. (65-27 in three seasons)....championships are overrated. :-"
  25. I would prefer 2 divisions of 8 teams each with the top two teams in each division going to the playoffs. I think 4 team divisions are too small.
