My case as well. Then I would like to drop two of my minor leaguers now since I know I'll be able to get better ones in the prospect draft.

So if I currently have 7 minor leaguers on my roster I can only participate in three rounds of the draft or can I be involved in all 5 rounds and then drop two minors leaguers immediately after the prospect draft? Depending on where we are draft wise on Friday I'll forward you a list of players to draft for me while away.

I will be without internet access from late afternoon Friday (19th) until Sunday morning (21st). I will be helping take care of my Dad who just started chemo for stage 4 lung/throat cancer.

As you probably already know, I asked a few vitals before I hit the accept button on the trade. I didn't even think to ask whether you knew who was or wasn't exempt. I thought you included Young in the proposal knowing he was low points after a rough season. We can discuss a way to fix this on Friday. I should be good. It appears JJohnson is exempt so no worries. Thanks!

You're mixing issues. the minor league status is a one time thing. once they hit the mark, they no longer have minor league status. exemptions are counted by years they hit the mark, so johnson's year with 4 starts doesn't count. Which would then make him exempt for one more season? he has three exempt years, if he has used two, then he would have one nore. Just want to make sure I am understanding the exempt rules.
