  1. The 86 is propped up by a ton of weak grounders and bloops as well. Honestly speaking hes probably been the most underwhelming top prospect probably since the SS we no longer speak about. It does not surprise me that they might not be content with him at this point. I think the dream scenario is getting Suarez, but im kind of not expecting it to become reality. Castro sounds good too.
  2. They probably average about 2 runs per game in rubber matches. It's really disappointing.
  3. Funny how PCA canceled out his walk with a sac fly in regard to his OBP
  4. Maybe yall can back the rookie up and light this horsefeathers Chump up now please?
  5. Jed and Craig love competence. They might try to swing a bigger trade later but if they can get a competent starter, who will take the bump when his spot comes up and give them a chance at a QS, that's what they care about. He throws strikes and doesn't kill you with gophers. He shouldn't cost much. Personally I think the team prefers guys to avoid barrels more than bats. They don't seem too concerned with having a staff of power pitchers but rather they rely on contact suppression and defense. Hey, it worked before!
  6. There were 9 games played today. 5 ended in shutouts and in 3 of the other games the losing team scored 1 run. Losing teams combined for just 8 runs lol
  7. Royals hoping to pull a Scott Feldman with Kris Bubic. I have a feeling his market won't be what they expect. He's good, I could be wrong. But his record of success is short.
  8. So like, how in the world do they enforce a league wide ban on the guy, though? Facial recognition tech?
  9. Shaw swings at some really ****** pitches. His approach has been terrible.
  10. We are getting a lot of favorable pitch calls tonight it seems
  11. It's so on-brand that Loveland and Burden are basically gonna be starting from scratch, having missed all of camp with bs injuries and still quibbling over guarantees in the contract. The draft does not seem like one that will provide immediate impact. Maybe Trapilo. Poles better hope so. Right now it looks like a terrible draft.
  12. Of course the Brewers got to Skenes and Misiorowski was basically perfect again. The kid has allowed 3 hits in 16 IP, he might be pretty decent. It feels like the NLC will have 2 of the top 5 pitchers in the NL next year. We'll see if Burns joins that group.
  13. The disappearance of the walks has been particularly glaring. Seiya, PCA, Nico, Swanson, and Shaw are all under 5% for the month. What the hell happened to Seiya? He's become slug or nothing.
  14. 9 teams have scored 370+ runs this year. 4 of them play in the NL Central. Each of those teams also has a top 10 run differential. It's not a watered down division. It's probably the best in baseball. The reason the Cubs haven't won is multi-pronged and the Brewers consistent excellence at extracting value should probably be credited accordingly. They've run laps around us for the better part of the last 7 years. Half the payroll and they still win each year.
  15. I feel like a need a map and compass to navigate BR
  16. I have been really disappointed by his approach and swing decisions, and these have heavily influenced his god-awful contact quality. He swings at too much crap and hardly squares anything up. An awful lot of his hits were mishits. Long-tem I still believe in him but I am definitely in the "maybe he needs to be replaced this year" camp.
