Did anybody know that Blake Parker is 6th in reliever fWAR and has a 0.94 FIP?

Just read that as well. I think it's a bit much to say his best days could be ahead of him but no doubt I'd felt like he'd been rounding back into formidable form before yesterday's outing. I didn't watch or even get to follow the game but he was pretty solid for the first 4 innings before the wheels fell off. He's been very encouraging over his last 7 or so starts.

Clifton is working on his 3rd straight stint with a GB rate under 40% and a .80 gb/fb. That's just who he is. But he does a good job of missing barrels, it appears, with his hr/9 hovering around .30-.50 and he gets a significant amount of infield flies, 24% this season so far. He's a decent pitcher. He keeps hitters off balance and induces a lot of weak contact. But that only gets most pitchers so far. I definitely would like to see him get that K% back up a couple ticks. -

What a horsefeathering dumb horsefeathers. The guy has thrown 5% strikes you horsefeathers.

Our biggest issues can be found in the batted ball categories. 1st in pull%, last in oppo, 26th in hard contact. Not many hits are gonna fall when you make it that easy on the defense to position themselves. I don't care if I'm beating a dead horse - this team needs to start using the whole field, stat.

McCullers has no-hit the Royals for 6.1 so far. Hammel has pitched a great game but allowed the lone run on a balk. And Cain breaks it up with a triple.
