    Wick just has to dial in those walks a little bit. Definitely has the stuff to be a cheap mainstay for us for the next couple years.

    Phillies and Pale Hose in the 15th inning. Vince Velasquez is playing LF while Roman Quinn is pitching. Velasquez just missed an assist on a laser to the plate and then followed it up with a 5 star diving catch. 15% catch probability. It was the first 5 star catch for the Phillies this year lol

    You clung on till the bitter end last season so I would expect no different... But our core guys better snap out of this. This is a broken offense as of right now. There's no way around it. These guys are very slow to make adjustments.

    Saw that. I'm hoping he had just checked out mentally. He made some comments that certainly point to being frustrated with the team and the cavernous ballpark. But yeah those numbers are disgusting. He shouldn't bat 2nd against RHP at all.

    Dixon homered again and now has a 921 OPS with an excellent BBK. I know his MLB career has been awful but i kind of separate this year into a class of it's own and I wouldnt be surprised if he carried a substantially higher ISO upon a promotion. I think hes earned a look. Garcia has options and Machado doesnt. Make the switch.

    99% sure it’s box score magic. Opposing starter supposedly threw 36 pitches in 5 innings with 2 walks, 4 hits, and 5 Ks. Ah I probably should've checked that

    Patterson is having a hell of a night 39 pitches, 35 for strikes, 9 Ks and 1 walk. That's insane. I have honestly never seen that at any level

But I think it's fair to add in the time he spent at AAA where everyone including Theo admitted he has a lot of work to do against breaking and offspeed pitches and determine that those issues are manifesting themselves at the MLB level, wouldnt it? Admittedly very good points ...did I go too far again? Nah I dont care. I pretty much expect to get the smackdown from TT when I post like that. He probably could've drawn back the condescension but it is what it is.

    1) Garcia has less than 60 PA, those numbers are not meaningful 2) Wainwright gets destroyed by LH and has a below average K rate against them, that matters too 3) Garcia has less than 60 PA, those numbers are not meaningful 4) Even if they were meaningful, Garcia's SSS pitch values are only problematic against sliders and changeups, which combine to make up 1.4% of Wainwright's arsenal this year(in practice these are almost certainly crappy curveballs) 1) I had not broken it down like that obviously.     I pulled for Robel as much as anybody to be promoted but his numbers against breaking and offspeed are dreadful. Like 66% whiff rate on breaking and 55 on offspeed. Putting him at the top against Wainwright is really not smart.

    Anyone know anything about Kevin Ginkel? This is a dude in the DBacks system and hes been a guy who generally posts 35ish K-BB%. Hes 25 and this year hes pitched 32 innings between AA/AAA and has 60 Ks to just 11 walks. Why haven't they brought him up yet? He has to be in their immediate plans right? His K9 at AAA is just below 20 right now. Hes a flyball pitcher but damn his numbers are insane. I'm surprised he hasnt gotten the call yet.

    Stroman has 1 year and has never been as good as Noah. Pretty stupid parameter.
