  1. Brewers have 4 HR off of Greene, who has recorded 7 outs
  2. Nelly since 4/20 has 10:15 BBK with 8 dongs. Incalculable wRC+.
  3. This pen is going to get burned the horsefeathers out in this series
  4. There's still a lot of free agency to go. Get Fisher or Tretter, look at Fuller, maybe Sanders Things will feel a lot less worrisome. Poles said he would be active in those second and third waves.
  5. Brewers just completely dismantle our hitters. I feel like they pull a rope-a-dope on us to begin the season. Then they take off the kid gloves and beat the living horsefeathers out of us over and over. And I'm beside myself at what they have done with Eric horsefeathering Lauer. Stearns and staff are running circles around the Cubs.
  6. Any IL fans here want to weigh in on him? Undersized, but solid. Had some injuries this past year, think an ankle injury maybe? He's played a lot of football, will be interesting to see if he can make the roster. Thanks. Seems like a decent pick.
  7. Trestan Ebner is a weird pick to me considering how we seemed to zero in on athletic freaks. He didn't have stellar production. He did have one pretty good year as a returner in 2020. But he registered a 4.8 RAS. Then we grabbed Teague as a UDFA who registered a 9.8. Sure hope Ebner makes the PS. I know it can be true of a lot of 6th rounders but he feels like a probable cut and I'm not sure what they see in him.
  8. Any IL fans here want to weigh in on him?
  9. I feel like the Ravens (unsurprisingly) just bent over the Cardinals. What in the hell.
  10. It's crazy how horsefeathering late this thing starts for us East Coasters
  11. Man last year I started to get some hope that Nico's approach had progressed and he would draw some walks. This dude just wants to swing his ass off this year.
  12. It was so obviously gonna happen. The good managers realize when their pitcher has unraveled and step in before they blow it. Givens blew the first 2 hitters away but after that he had no feel at all for the strike zone. Ross is a dummy.
  13. Can Arenado stop playing at a 10 WAR pace plz
  14. Maldonado gonna push his way onto the 40
  15. Easily the most depressing. I expected some struggle but not to this extent. Grounders and pop ups make up about 70% of his batted balls and fg shows 6% LD, which... Ooof. Even if that number may be slightly inaccurate, whatever the case may be, it's not going to push it into a range of non-concern. Dude is just flat out getting dominated at this point.
  16. BN pointed something out that I hadn't really noticed but MiLB teams are playing the same opponents for the entire week. The Reds and Rays absolutely dominated Velasquez, but he feasted on the Angels system, with just a 16% K rate and a 12% BB, along with monster wRC+. Makes sense considering the talent level in those systems. So now he's getting his 2nd look at Chattanooga. First game didn't go too well but hopefully we start to see some improvement this week.
  17. This was a seriously sad home set. Those guys should be ashamed.
  18. Quintana is gonna be worth more WAR in his time with the Cubs than Eloy will in his entire career. Yeah but Cease
