It's not the money, it's the entitlement. I think it sets an awful precedent and man are you gonna have a lot of egg on your face if he busts. Trevor Lawrence looks like just a good QB, Andrew Luck was never the best QB in his league, Vick was a more hyped athletic specimen, etc. There's been plenty of these generational QBs that just turn out to be OK, but not otherworldly - and that's fine - I mean, they are/were still good - but to make any player, before they've even taken a snap in the league, even the smallest minority owner, is just an asinine thought to me. I'm sure some teammates would take umbrage as well, although that is down the list of issues I would care about.
