  1. The team scored a shitload of runs last year, people underrate the offense. If they sign Bellinger they project to have above-average players comparative to their peers at the position, all across the field.
  2. Fully expecting the Packers to win the Super Bowl
  3. Sasaki is gonna get 400m. 23 y/o, healthy as a horse, no size concerns, some of the best stuff in the world.
  4. Pure lunacy thawv, damn
  5. Do you think fans of the Rangers thought Jose Leclerc or Josh Sborz would be capable of closing out a World Series in 2023?
  6. We saw a lot of the same under Rodgers and Getsy though
  7. Don't get much shorter than Madrigal 😉 But really, maybe they'll shock us and sign Bregman haha
  8. I think if they don't get Chapman they will be fine letting Madrigal and company hold it down and bridge to Shaw or even Murray if Shaw doesn't work out. But I think arm strength is less of a concern to them than most people realize. They don't need to make the Rolen and Arenado plays, just be rock solid on the routine plays and at least have the instincts and make the right reads.
  9. Jed has to ask: is it worth $25M to gain the extra win or two they would get from Bellinger over Tauchman + PCA. Then factor in oncoming regression. The juice might not be worth the squeeze.
  10. Boras isn't gonna get it this time, calling it now. He projects for 3 war; even if we credit his approach and give 4 war, those types of players don't usually get 6/150, do they? He's just an interesting case because he's young enough to project decent CF defense for 3 years but you probably don't want to keep him there for much longer than that, and if you move him to RF or 1B the offense needs to be 130ish to be worth it, and its hard to say it will unless he defies the normally accepted age curve. There's a good possibility you are paying out the final 75 to a 2 win player at best.
  11. I didn't realize that stats for minor leaguers such as contact rate vs specific pitches were available. How do we find those stats? I'll be honest I don't like hearing that he struggles vs curves and sliders. I feel like we have enough of those guys already and teams just start to bury them and withhold the heat. Hope he can get them to adjust but it seems like that's how he'll be attacked.
  12. They really gave up 48 points in the 3rd HFS
  13. Jorge isn't much of a slouch but I really really want JD. Get a FB monster. His HR% was absurd last year.
  14. Pretty funny he said that; a few weeks ago amid the panic here I compared it to the 3rd or 4th inning of an IGT.
  15. Stated to be in the mold of by random evaluators? Yeah prob.
  16. We sure this guy isn't asking for ownership stake?
  17. No he doesn't and it's a pet peeve of mine when people throw around the "2.0" stuff as if there hasn't already been like 25.0 since that player played.
  18. Holy horsefeathers that's a desperation move
  19. The Brewers projection made me crack up. It was dismal AF, and if they trade Adames or Burnes LOLOLOL
  20. Triolo is 6'3 with an approach at the plate. He's not a slap hitter. Plus he's a 55/60 with the glove, that is significant.
  21. Just to play devil's advocate, neither QB ever had an elite OL or anything close to it. The 2 times in my life where 1-5 was solid-great, they went to the SB in the window. They are just braindead when it comes to this. Cutler suffered from this horsefeathers too. horsefeathers J'Marcus Webb lmao.
  22. Surprised the slueths didn't uncover all of this sooner
  23. Triolo looks pretty solid. No power but a really solid approach. Interesting idea.
  24. Although I am not gung-ho about pursuing Chapman, they cannot be prisoners of the moment over something like that. Matt Chapman has not been below average with the bat in 7 MLB seasons and his 110 last year still counts even if it was due to his April and May. I hope they don't go beyond 3-4 years but I would still be confident that he would turn in a 110+ season, and that is very good.
