  1. Teven barely had a double-digit pass-pro grade. That OL could definitely be our downfall offensively.
  2. Kyle says they can't beat me if I walk the big 3
  3. Because he's playing under the best coach he ever has
  4. NGL seeing that Nix threw for 130 on 42 drop backs eases my frustration a bit. For whatever reason, passing around the league seemed down across the board.
  5. Imagine if Caleb had thrown a pass like Levis did on the pick 6... Honestly gotta be in the top 3 of stupidest throws I've ever seen.
  6. Well the early returns on the big move of the off-season look fantastic. Darrell Taylor had a monster game and looks like a huge piece of the defense.
  7. On a play like that you just dive down to the ground, not retreat 10 more yards. You should never take a 20 yard sack unless it's a bad snap.
  8. The bust talk is gonna be so horsefeathers loud. 30 something drop backs and not even 100 yards. I didn't watch a second but I have a hard time believing he didn't leave 100 more yards on the field. And taking a 20 yard sack? Wooooof
  9. I'm pretty scared. This is abysmal. Actually it's the same horsefeathers we are used to. And Levis is handily playing better. Everything horsefeathers sucks.
  10. Nice way to find a way into the record books after 150 years
  11. Goddamn your ceaseless effort to separate yourself from the pack is exhausting. Nobody here talks like that. You look really stupid doing it.
  12. I was pretty much gonna say the same. We've played that slumpbuster role a few times this year. He's primed to blow up.
  13. Funny you mention that about desiring high-level athletes at every position. I just read that the Padres are currently fielding a team with 7 guys whose primary position throughout their early pro career - and many have logged a lot of MLB innings there as well - was shortstop. I found it pretty fascinating. I don't know what to expect of Busch offensively next year and moving forward but I love seeing that he has become an elite defender. I feel like he should be a 120-130 bat.
  14. That would be a top 10 position player. I'm thinking he'll be closer to a 450 SLG, but he does hit a shitload of fly balls to the pull-side. For a guy that just adopted that approach a couple years ago he's pretty phenomenal at it. IDK man, I've been probably a bit overzealous with my enthusiasm for him at times but I'm confident he is going to be at least average at the plate. The total package is so exciting.
  15. What do you guys think the plan for Pearson is? He's made 10 appearances for us now and the 3 HR stand out (as still being an issue), but so do the 2 walks. From a usage quick view, they favor his slider over his cutter significantly, nothing else really stands out. I wonder if he gets a shot to start,
  16. I'm completely with Kyle. If we see signficant forward progress from our 2nd and 3rd year defensive players then I can see the defense matching the budding reputation. If they are just largely JAGs, I can see them being just average. And that can significantly alter the entire team outlook. Guys like Gordon, Brisker, Dexter - if they turn in good seasons, the defense should be stout, The offense could easily get upended by the OL. Wright needs to be an absolute stud, IMO. There's more dynamic players than we've had since the early Trestman days but if Davis and Jenkins can't stay on the field, Wright is mediocre, etc., then it will be tough sledding. Pass pro has me on edge. Poles' bread-and-butter was supposed to be the trenches and I would say that is where I am the most concerned on both sides of the ball.
  17. That makes 5 no-hitters in the last 9 years for the Cubs, which is insane considering how long we waited for Z's performance. In the last 4, the Cubs have averaged 11 runs scored lmao
  18. PCA or Dansby has to get that freaking triple man
  19. Has to. I'm curious who had the tie and who was the last to win.
  20. Flopping in September is beyond played out, Cubs
  21. I'd like to know the real measurements on both of those guys. Alcantara looks like one of the smallest 6'6 athletes I can recall. Lot of work still to be done to fill out that uniform. Mo's height just really intrigues me.
