  1. Javi with 6 walks and 10 outs recorded. Get it together. Edit: bad call by ump on Ortiz but who cares.
  2. I swear you could put all the best players from each team on the NL and they'd still lose
  3. I'm perfectly calm dude
  4. Looking at their draft I just can't see how they haven't saved a horsefeathers ton.
  5. It may not be a negative thing. He looks like a guy who is a good bet to be a well above-average hitter. But I expect a large increase in grounders converted into outs at the MLB level.
  6. IDK but his career-high FB rate was last year at 26.9 and this year it's about 23, with 50% GB. I guess it's not fair to label it as that - he hits a lot of line drives - but results-wise, a lot of his batted balls end up on the ground, well over 50% for his career. I think to get results like that, I lean toward: elite pitch recognition and ability to make contact and probably "hits it where it's pitched" extraordinarily well. This guy is pretty confounding. He's not fast. How does he hit like that with 50% of his BIP pulled, and on the ground?
  7. I think it needs to come via trade. Unfortunately I think Paredes is the only option and he will have a lot of suitors. Maybe Jonathan India and move him there? This is what I am saying, there's like 4 realistic upgrade options combined at those 2 positions. I guess going just for league average offense could work but I hope as a last resort.
  8. What do you guys think Jacob Wilson's offense will look like in the Majors? Currently at AAA i believe he has more XBH than whiffs, hitting 398/444/639 with 3 Ks in 90 PA, which is just a hair thinner than his AA line was. But is his GB-heavy approach gonna get swallowed up in the Majors and he'll struggle to be average?
  9. I think the 2025 Cubs are going to have a filthy pitching staff. The rotation is already well-stocked and we have reinforcements coming. I actually think they are set up to have their best pens in several years, one that will have one of the highest average velos in the league. My concern lies in the offense and to what extent Jed will be willing to go to fix it. The holes are obvious but at premium positions where there will be plenty of competition. I don't even consider us a Soto suitor because I'm just an automoton with a chip in my brain controlled by the Rothschilds. Being the last year of his contract, however, he should be turning over every stone (not letting a Murphy, Contreras get away without a glance) and has plenty of prospect surplus to make major upgrades in any way possible.
  10. That's freaking crazy that the same fan caught both of Morel's homers. Made it look easy too. The Cubs were one-upped by the As today as they walloped 8 bombs, and among only 4 players.
  11. They need to hurry up and get those guys signed. It would be a mistake to let this drag on any further.
  12. It appears Jordan Addison can't go a training camp without getting arrested. Too bad they didn't trade Jefferson and hand the keys (pun intended) to that dude.
  13. Wrigley The Trop Petco Chavez Ravine The Big A Old Comiskey
  14. I really like his potential as a lead-off man.
  15. That guy triggers people more than a 3rd overall pick we made right as our team was ascending to playoff contender, bypassing Matt Wieters and others. Hell, we could have drafted LaPorta and sent him to CLE for Sabathia. One of our worst picks of all time that looked horrible at the time as his plate discipline was in serious question.
