  1. Doing this after 2 innings is pretty ridicuous
  2. Doesn't it make sense to compare their numbers as minor leaguers? https://www.baseball-reference.com/players/c/camermi01.shtml Cameron didn't hit for a lot of power as a prospect. Numbers-wise it's a much better comp than I was expecting. At 22 in AA, Cameron hit 249/355/429. He got a cup of coffee. Then he exploded the next year as a 23 year old.
  3. PCA rocking a 145 over his last 10 games with a sub-10 K rate and a 92 EV Very encouraged that he will hit. I think you try to get him to cut the chase% but pretty much expect he's not gonna walk much and live with his aggressiveness.
  4. Ain't that some horsefeathers. 10K.
  5. Drop em to 500 like they did us way back in May or June or whatever
  6. I can see this dude wearing out that short LCF in Wrigley in time.
  7. Shaw's gotten some extremely favorable BABIP fortune the last 2 games. Maybe one of the hits was well-struck.
  8. He's right though. It's damn tough to execute a bunt for a hit when the 3B is 70 feet from the plate. Lately he's been squaring up a lot more balls. Hopefully this forces the defense into a regular alignment. Then he can start working that into his arsenal more. A lot of these bunts have been ABs just flushed down the toilet. Combining those with the ABs where he just got overmatched on 3-4 pitches and that's a high rate of uncompetitive ABs.
  9. Witt Jr. now hitting 350/400/600. Dude is a horsefeathers monster.
  10. Shota has to watch those get-me-over fastballs
  11. Too bad Geo couldn't sustain (his high)
  12. Just please don't let Shota get blown up. I ain't askin for much.
  13. I still marvel that he his those 2 against them probably a combined 30 inches below the plate lol
  14. Cubs only need to see a team a 3rd time through
  15. Facing a bad knuckleballer, that explains it
  16. That's the case sometimes. There's been a lot of ****** bats that we hoped we had potential replacements for.
  17. Move them for what? They'll probably sign minor league contracts with some org after the season and maybe become semi-viable MLB players in 2-3 years. Their arrows are pointing way down. Both are barely above league average at their level.
  18. I think he's firmly in the IDK what to expect outta this guy tier and will be looking at 2-3 year deals. You're still talking about a guy that has eclipsed 2 fwar once in the last 5 years, who is getting up there in age and whose tertiary skills are not as prominent as they once were. 2020-2022 + 2024 (Projected ROS) will possibly barely equal what he did in 2023. He is a major, major gamble IMO. The floor is not all that sexy.
