  1. Mets stole that game with the big 5th inning which was all oppo singles doing the damage. Love seeing the Brewers get pantsed again in October.
  2. 95% of the hitters in the league are coached to swing for the fences these days. It has nothing to do with overcompensating for a lack of talent; it's simply the easiest way to score runs.
  3. Man, he had a 70 yd TD to Rome there and just didn't see it even though he was looking right at it.
  4. Jed was right to wait out the reliever market. It's always a ****** market to play in anyway and like 80% of them went on to have crappy years vs expectations. He hung in there for Ohtani which was the biggest farce of a FA whale in our lifetimes, went and got a plug-and-play TORP and a 1B who finished top 10 at his position, above the Polar Bear guy some people clamored for. If anything he should have stuck to his intuition and said we don't horsefeathers need Hector Neris even if it is just a 1-year deal, and to keep developing our own guys. Maybe Hodge gets a shot sooner and runs with the job. You basically have to use some serious cherry picking and hindsight to declare what he missed out on while waiting to make his move. Shota and Busch were a couple of the best moves league-wide.
  5. Non-Bears fans probably don't know that he was wholly mediocre with the Bears, he could rarely push a pile and get short yardage, and he was a poor scheme fit compared to Herbert who had just ripped off 5.7 YPC to Montgomery's 4.0 the year prior.
  6. Goff really went 18/18 for almost 300 yards, damn.
  7. Why are we still seriously linked to Alonso?
  8. It's pretty nuts that they also have 5 top 100 prospects already in AAA and 3 SP at least that just posted top 20 ERAs. They need to sharpen some of the gameplanning and strategy that MIL thrives with. There's no reason those teams should have been separated by 10 games.
  9. If Caleb can ever figure out his deep ball our offense will take off. The dude has no touch as of right now. He has receivers beating 1:1 a lot and can't capitalize. Has to change. He has to be better than that. How much did he and the recievers train together in the offseason... it feels like they are farther from sharing the same page than they should be at this point.
  10. Darnold and the Vikings have a 28-0 lead in Lambeau before the 2MW.
  11. So I'm assuming Caleb/Allen had a TD if not for the DPI?
  12. I'm wondering if his injuries were impacting his extension as well. Feels like they had to be. He went from dominating AA hitters for a handful of starts to being a TINSTAPP reminder almost immediately upon promotion.
  13. Shohei reached 400 total bases last night. Hadn't been done since 2001. Judge is at 392. 400 total bases and 50 steals in the same year. Absolutely ludicrous.
  14. I feel like he possibly got caught up in the doubt around his power and it got in his head. To make matters worse it became a public subject when he was in the midst of a horrible slump already. Now he just looks like a guy who is doing anything he can to get on base, minimal damage being done. Don't get me wrong, I will take the 410 OBP but I am hoping he is back to a 20 HR guy next year.
  15. Showcase for a trade, of course!
  16. The Curse of Michael Jordan
  17. Dalton has like 225 and 3 TD in the first half
  18. Ok defense did it's job LFG
