  1. Yeah put him with Herbert and he'd be one of the best receivers in the game again.
  2. Is he at least better than the 5th best QB of his class?
  3. FA only really excites me if we grab Sasaki. I'm really excited to see what trades he has in mind.
  4. Couldn't hurt to make an offer as long as it isn't like an Ozzie Albies proposal. Although TT is right in that the AAV becomes a concern pretty quickly.
  5. How are you at all comfortable with that depth aside from Assad? They don't even know or won't say what's going on with Brown's neck, Horton was ineffective and unavailable. I mean really, we don't want Wes or Killian to make any starts. Assad and Wicks are a good piggy back for certain situations, would be quite excellent to have as the 6th and 7th guys in the staff. If he can trade for Crochet or someone with a minuscule salary I can see it.
  6. Caleb doesn't look like he has good chemistry with any of em. Like they should have been in the lab since May and it looks like they waited til late July.
  7. They realize he's gonna be ready this year and without injury to a starter likely won't get much playing time, and they don't want to add salary purely via FA. We probably should be looking to move him for pitching. Our young pitchers all died last year,
  8. What is your guys opinion on this one? He stepped out of bounds so he couldn't be the first to touch the ball. Some fans are saying it was smart to walk off the field so as not to confuse Caleb. Other wish he had stayed on to block, but Caleb wouldn't know that he couldn't throw him the ball and faced a potential penalty if he had. But it's easy to just say that he quit on the play and the team. However, I don't believe he has faced any consequence whatsoever. So it leads me to believe the coaches think he did the right thing. Then again the coaches suck.
  9. I mean, yes... and no? He's a RH 1B/DH who's turning 23 soon. The odds are not good. He wasn't impressive at South Bend. However he smashed Double-A and showed little contact issues with 35 walks to 33 Ks. He's recorded swing speeds of 79 MPH, which is elite territory. Now his AFL line is 350/450/700 in 75 PA. There's definitely some things to really be intrigued by.
  10. Thank God Demp was a dick and delivered us this legend. If we had ended up with Randall Delgado or Zach Lee I firmly believe wed be at 110 years and counting.
  11. That injury report is disheartening. Starting to feel like 1 or 2 wins left at best. horsefeathers these last 2 weeks straight to hell.
  12. The Cubs will spend 10-15M upgrading the bench. Meanwhile the Brewers will trade for some non-prospect that provides approximate value. Next year the Cubs will have players ready to assume the bench blocked by the guy who probably wasn't so necessary.
  13. Read an article speculating the Rangers may look to move Seager. I would be all over that personally. I know he's had a lot of time off over the years but is pretty much the best we can possibly hope for as far as hitting and defense from an IF and he's LH.
  14. I want to horsefeathers slap Jed and Carter if that's what they do. Move some of those damn prospects you dimwits.
  15. All of the $ in FA should be spent on pitching IMO. If they really need a LHB for the bench it should be via trade. Get a guy who is ready and projects reasonably well but is blocked and offer a little premium. They did it before. Get a guy who will cost nothing for a few years. If they target a C I don't think they will come with that high of a salary either. Like Langeliers has 1 more pre-arb year and then will cost like, 20M, through his arb years?
  16. Definitely not. I'm not sure why they are using like they are. From watching the breakdowns he is clearly not running routes with the same efficiency he has in the past. He's seemingly checked out because he's not the primary target.
  17. He played at a pace of 140 catches last year and 180 targets. He should be the guy we feed like that. However it appears he did not do enough in the off-season to prepare for this and Caleb is nowhere near Justin Herbert.
  18. He needs to get aggressive with trades. We have 6 "top" prospects and a couple more already in AAA close to the Majors. So much ammo to trade it's crazy. Trade for the bat and sign the pitchers that are not attached to QO. Tucker Snell Robertson
  19. Age like Dunn who walks half the time. That's gonna be a lot of fun. This guy is a 120 1B and needs to be treated as such, not given a 5/125 deal. I think it's absolutely crazy.
  20. Probably one that Tyson should get killed behind, not Caleb
  21. Go ahead and include Pat in there as those are the last 3 first round picks used. Absolute horsefeathers turdfest. In 5 years Ayo is the only usable player they've drafted. Williams is playing 28 mpg and shooting 32% from the field LOL (choked on my eggs as I read this) while putting up 8/4. eFG and TS sit at 40 and 42. He is completely useless.
  22. Wright has an MCL sprain, severity unknown. This is so depressing. Caleb isn't gonna break 4K. Daniels, even if he's a first-read type of guy, is blowing him out of the water. Looking like 2 years in a row we passed on the best QB in the draft.
  23. What a monumentally stupid penalty. I'm not watching so it may be BS but holy horsefeathers horsefeathers.
  24. Gonna be hard to keep that 21 and under streak up
