  1. Soderstrom has a 2 Homer night giving him 8 on the year. When Rooker gets going that offense is gonna be pretty damn nasty. And Kurtz is coming soon.
  2. I think his last AB was so bad they feel his confidence is shot. Every pitch he saw was a ball inside and he swung at em all. Definitely not rising to the occasion. But again Holliday and Crews are struggling just as bad. The league just swallows some guys up.
  3. Apparently he was in his 50s already
  4. Absolutely true about Robertson. For us, I just don't see why not. But I know Hoyer talked to him and he's still sitting at home, so maybe he's just not interested, retirement could be around the corner. The whole thing is weird. Did he get punished for trying to rep himself? It's fine to shuffle some things and see what sticks but I don't have much confidence that our Iowa guys are going to provide much in leverage spots. Maybe Keegan for a few games but his stuff isn't anything MLB hitters haven't seen a hundred times. I digress. Everybody but Hodge sucks.
  5. Little appears to be nowhere near his potential yet this season, I don't think you bring him up. Palencia's Ks drop precipitously in MLB and when hitters aren't intimidated by his stuff he spirals and can't throw quality strikes. Neely looks like a different guy this year as well. Get Robertson. He can help.
  6. It seems bad to allow a run per batter faced, bullpen. Can you not drive us into early graves?
  7. He's good for that 4 or 5 times a game. Just seemingly gets careless and catches too much plate.
  8. Let him work through it. He's a much better hitter than he's shown so far. Some of the best prospects in the game have been completely disrespected by the big leaguers, ie Holliday and Crews. Personally I would have a much longer leash.
  9. I watched the condensed game last night and MLB inexplicably put 2-3 minutes of the on-field conversation crap in there and it's cut-up and disjointed and absolutely nothing close to enlightening or entertaining.
  10. I didn't realize that in 1 more game played than them the Cubs have scored 40 more runs than the Dodgers.
  11. Bummed as horsefeathers about this. We can still win the division but I doubt this spurs Jed to do something now. He's a wait and see type. I just hope we don't see all of our internal options fall flat.
  12. Mervis just hit a pinch hit 3 run shot,his 5th. 1.1 OPS.
  13. IMO PCA and Tucker are both excellent bets for +ROI.
  14. The offense has been completely punchless against these guys. It's time for Happ to start his season. His quality of contact has been abysmal so far. The lack of slug from our young hitters is pretty glaring.
  15. Pete Alonso is having an insane start to the season. 8:5 BBK, 400 ISO, and neutral defense. Proving doubters such as myself wrong in every way possible.
  16. 1 point of contention: He has an 8.8% walk rate and 80 pts between his BA and OBP stateside. 85 wRC+ is bad but for PCA, if he plays at that pace all year he's a 5 win player. Bottom line remains the same - his ceiling is insane. He just looks like he's guessing up there and getting embarrassed in the cat-and-mouse game. Not sure why he dumped the leg kick; he looks out of sorts.
