    If they don’t bring Tucker back , my backup would be Schwarber to DH and a top SP . Michael King and I believe Framber is a FA as well .

    No . With that said if McGuire keeps hitting home runs there is a small chance they just cut Brujan . I know it would leave them with only Berti as a position player on the bench , but Brujan is basically a PR only 🤣

    Yeah , I think the only way I would jump on Keller right now is if Bednar comes as well . Even if that happens they would need another rental SP as well . Not interested at all in giving Horton / Brown playoff innings , if they are fortunate enough to get into the playoffs .

    Looks like Mich Keller was the pitcher Levine was talking about . Nightendale saying Pirates have been in serious talks with Cubs for the last 10 days about him . Keller beat the Mets on Friday .

    They aren’t doing it , but they should be using an opener tonight . Astros are basically all righty lineup . Brasier should open and go 1, maybe 2 IP . Rea shouldn’t face the top of the order a third time .

    Damn , didn’t realized Brewers play the Rockies this weekend , while the Cubs are in Houston . Series looks really rough . Astros are red hot , just swept Phillies . They have Framber in game 3 . Weak part of cubs rotation . Bats will need to score a lot of runs

    I know , but Palencia wasn’t trying to hit him in that situation . Stuff happens . He started talking horsefeathers when he got hit , but can’t take Palencia talking horsefeathers to him after the final out . If you talk horsefeathers , you got to take horsefeathers back .

    I think they won tonight . They are 3 over right now , I believe . All they have to do is get the 3rd wild card spot . They have gone on big 2nd half runs before . I don’t believe they are selling

    Dbacks aren’t selling . That offense is too good to give up . They will probably add a couple of relievers . Suarez ain’t happening .

    Yeah ,, I think it’s time to forget about splitting the lefties at the middle of the order . Swanson needs to hit 8th and stay there . You can afford to get cute when you have good options to do it . Cubs don’t have those . That nice 6.5 lead they have will probably be gone entirely by the end of the week .

    He is cheating to get to the fastball in time and has stop walking as a result . He is a complete mess and simply isn’t ready to hit at this level . Cubs have a huge problem here . Earlier in the season when he was struggling , the team was doing well , so they could let him struggle . Not the case anymore . It was a mistake by Hoyer not adressing the 3B depth , just in case .

    There are no off days this week , so Taillon ain’t coming out . He has nothing and this game is about to get out of hand soon .

    I think the deal they thought was close on Sunday night was with MIA / Pit / Col / Sac . Those were the teams mentioned .

    Levine said that on Sunday the Cubs thought they were close on something but doesn’t look like it’s going to happen right now . Mentioned Marlins, Rockies , A’s . Also said Royals and Guardians could become sellers in the coming weeks as well .

    Levine seems to think Cubs will make a move sooner than later for a SP . Mentioned it could even happen this week . Maybe looking to get a 3B as well in a potencial deal . Something to keep an eye on , I doubt it’s the Dbacks seems to early for them to give up
