  1. So you got Bucs, Falcons, Pats, Dolphins, and Panthers left plus a bye.
  2. UMFan83 above said Jets game should be @ Jets
  3. Wait, who was the 4th besides the members of Run TMC? Sarunas Marciulionis.... he's inducted in this year as well.
  4. Heck if he wins, you have to go back as far as 1922 to find someone younger that won a major.
  5. Donald isn't your typical combine-hyped prospect though. Dude's numbers were ridiculous. 28.5 TFL and 11 sacks from the DT position. 63 TFL and 27.5 sacks in the last 3 years. He's the real deal. The only concern is if the lack of size hampers him at the next level. I don't get the amount of concern over his size. His weight is fine and sure he's a little short. But there's already proven success with that body type at the NFL level (Geno Atkins among others). Who? Lets make it 6'1" or shorter and 290 or less... Lets also make it in the last 10 years. I'll wait while you make a list.
  6. You should have. Always go with the classic.
  7. It's the NFL, anybody could be a free agent next year. Suh, McCoy, Earl Thomas, Orakpo, Alex Mack, Greg Hardy, Rolle, Haden, Revis, Von Miller, Dareus, Devin McCourty, Patrick Peterson, Aldon Smith. Everyone from the loaded 2010 draft. You forgot the #1 FA IMO... JJ Watt
  8. NBA will punish them for tanking by having them "draw" the 4th overall pick in the lottery But they're not tanking remember??? They're "rebuilding" according to Silver.
  9. I believe you wouldn't have to cut Julius until June 1st, but I may be wrong. No they'd have to cut him to sign anyone with a big contract. They can designate him as a June 1 cut (and save 14mil) but he dOes have to be cut before they can do anything major. While that's correct, but his cap hit stays until June 1st so you can't designate him as a June 1 cut AND sign a big name FA. http://overthecap.com/explaining-the-june-1st-designation/ There are ways around it. I believe you can agree with a big name FA on a deal and not sign it until June 1 (unlikely). Plus, you can really eat up every dollar of the cap space because you can wait to sign draft picks after June 1. Plus, you can structure the contract like the Bears did with Bushrod and Bennett last year. Both will get 6-9 mil annually, but both had cap hits around 3 Mil last year because of signing bonuses and low base salaries. The difference between making Peppers a June 1 cut and a regular cut is only 4Mil anyway. Either 10M or 14M saved. Oh I know. I just didn't want to confuse other posters here into thinking that if you designate him as a June 1st that Bears free up 14 mil right away as I've seen it from other sites.

  11. Nope you're not the ONE person here. It's been fun watching/following them lately like you said. Looking forward to next year with this group.
  12. You never draft one. You do sign guys though. And if you do sign a FA punter, it better be someone awesome like Lechler (when he was younger anyway, but he's still awesome now). If not, just sign a couple UDFA and see who wins. Although I do want Pat O'Donnell and Bears probably have to use one of the 6th rounder to get him.
  13. 2007/2009/2010/2011/2013 IIRC
  14. UW-LaCrosse here. They had great football and XC/track programs while I was there but they've fallen off a bit in the last few years. The Wisconsin schools are typically very strong athletically (UWSP #1 and UW-W #2 in basketball right now). And I think Whitewater won the football title as well. IWU actually plays a school out of STL in the 1st round (Webster), although I don't think they are all that great. My cousin went to Whitewater and the guy she married was a DE there when UW-W was just starting to win everything (his senior year was 2005). They have been just unreal since he graduated.
  15. Um... I thought the recovery break was during the All Star break? If they're complaining that much about it, just 2-3 days to it. I'm also not sure why the age limit is his #1 priority.
  16. Wow... 35 just totally blew it defensively. Nowhere near the ball, jumped like 2 secs too early, AND a clear path to the rim.
  17. Umm... Nothing? I'll send you a link where Silver explains the "difference". http://probasketballtalk.nbcsports.com/2014/02/17/adam-silver-on-tanking-absolutely-no-evidence-that-any-team-has-lost-a-single-game-on-purpose/ So basically you can throw out a very shitty team and it won't be called "tanking" because even though you're losing almost every game, those shitty players you have are trying their best to win games.
  18. well they could be. they're likely to have two more lottery picks in the offseason draft, plus a [expletive] load of 2nd round picks and tons of cap space. but for this year, they have a pathetic roster and are going to lose a lot. Good God. I hope they end up with the worst possible pick on all the lottery picks (not sure how many they really have). Funny part is Silver see no evidence of tanking. Oh that's right... he see it as "rebuilding" and not tanking. They may not be tanking on purpose, but they're definitely tanking to get the best possible chance of getting that #1 pick.
  19. Yeah, I'm not quite sure why they would do that. I wonder how it will impact their future drafts. I never was able to understand why college baseball players were allowed to have advisors while basketball and football players would be put through the ringer if they tried the same thing. Not sure what you mean there??? Once a basketball/football player declares to go pro, don't they have to get an advisor/agent anyway? Both of those sports don't have the option of going back to college like baseball do. So they can't go into the draft, get picked, and then decides to go back to school for another year. They also have their slot money set where you can still negotiate somewhat in baseball.
  20. From walterfootball: Charlie's mock- updated yesterday 14: Timmy Jernigan 51: Loucheiz Purifoy 82: Demarcus Lawrence 113: Kapri Bibbs, RB, Colorado State Walter's mock- updated today 14: Darqueze Dennard 51: Ed Reynolds 82: Anthony Johnson 113: Kareem Martin
  21. So... what was it?
  22. I hope he's a Bears until he retires.
  23. The Manziel = Romo comparison seems way off to me. I don't think of those two as anything like each other. Really? I actually think that's a pretty good comparison for Manziel. Yeah. The big difference that sticks out to me is the running ability. I felt like Garcia was a better comparison - which he touched on, but discarded. I've always thought McNabb when he was drafted is a good comparsion to Manziel. McNabb was 223 at the Combine IIRC.
  24. Purdue is. LOL
  25. Anyone not do it? I would also make him like 5'5" or whatever the shortest you can do.
