CM Punk is a huge Cubs fan and has been visible at Cubs games over the years. Think Jon Ryan's wife was in town for a show at Zanies. Oh ok. I remember him do the 7th inning before, but didn't know he's a huge fan.

Yeah if you add Ross, it's hard to picture a huge contract SP being the target. Fowler/the OF would seem to be more likely, and they won't have the cost of someone like Price. Hey, speaking of FA to be OF, Upton could also be in play in a 'big' deal. Doesn't he hate chicago/cubs and he has to give permission to be traded there?

if it costs anyone outside of a Schwarber / Bryant / Russell / Rizzo / Torres / Baez / Soler / Torres / McKinney which it shouldnt then there is no reason in heck that the cubs shouldnt get a guy if for any other reason than to try and get some postseason action, to make the fans happy.. So.... why did you put a comma after action?
