1. I want to get a warm glass of milk every time I see his name. Warm glass of milk ?? Son, do you have ulcers ?? They're developing as we speak..err..type.

3. What's the logic of Schwarber in RF and Bryant in LF or is that a typo? LF is more difficult to play in Pittsburgh than RF Gotcha! Thanks.

5. This won't do, needs animation and music. I actually think it's funnier in stills. The best bit is the last second attempt at a bare handed grab even though he's closer to starring in a revival of Riverdance than he is to the ball.
6. I'm imagining him sitting in the same seats with the same pop up hit towards him and him trying to scurry away in a heated panic from a possible repeat performance but he slips, falls out of the stands and lands on Bryant as he's about catch the ball. i'm not you should...if you imagine it happening...it can't possibly happen in real life.

8. Does that seem a little low? - his 2010 and 2011 were decent enough, no? Does it accrue -'ve values?
9. Um, did you not see that 495 foot bomb on 0-2 Sunday? Why choke up? Same reason Baez does - Same reason Rizzo did. Maybe control his swing sounds better.
10. Eric Hinske, Rey Sanchez and Doug Glanville had a bit of post Cubs success - was Jose Hernandez originally a Cub? But, yeah they aren't plentiful.
11. I'd swear Jody Davis scored 5 runs without an official AB once - don't know how to check that though. It took a few circuitous Google searches but on 6/3/87 he went 1/1 with 4 walks and scored 5 runs in a 22 - 7 thrashing of the Astros with some nice relief work from Ed Lynch and Dickie Noles. Edit: Damn BRBs.

13. Anybody know anything about Taylor Davis? Was clicking on random players in the minor league boxes and after recovering from his outstanding bio pic noticed he was a 49th round pic in 2008. At 25 in AAA I'm guessing he has already over achieved. It doesn't look like he's ever been a starter - does he have any chance to see any time in majors? I like seeing those really late round picks make good.
14. Odd stat that caught my attention Dexter Fowler has walked between 65 and 68 times every year since 2008 except for 2010. Relatively narrow range of at bats - swing of about 65 - so makes a little sense but still kind of neat. Presumably that will change soon. (currently at 66)
15. is this like your mojo impression? Who's mojo?
16. Who was it that clocked Persnikity back in the day?
17. Should we wait one more game before mentioning You know Who not doing You Know What for You Know How Many Games?
18. this guy didn't read I read what you wrote in the title, and then didn't understand why Palmeiro didn't count. So I posted that. if he counts for having one halfway decent season as a regular, then rizzo and russell count as home grown. hell, theriot had better seasons as a cub. I was going to argue that Palmeiro played in an all star game representing the Cubs, but his numbers that season look mediocre, at least for an all star. I think he had a high average at the break and then Derniered it the rest of the way.
19. Can you really count any of these guys yet? #JeromeWaltonDwightSmithBrantBrownRickWilkins I think you have to be a regular player for at least a year and half, maybe two before you are established...no? I'm certainly expecting most of these guys to be regulars in 3 years time but I thought Hee Sop Choi was as sure a prospect as there was.
20. I think that's Errol Childress from S1 of True Detective.
21. Any interest in Jose Reyes? Heard the Yankees are looking at him for 2B.
22. Drop Dickerson - Add JD Martinez Drop Headley - Add CarGo Thanks
23. Interesting back story here. He was put in jail for 7 years for egging police cars. But the legend says cops were impressed with both the dents put in their cars AND the accuracy that was shown during each egging. Long story short, the Dominican police captain knows Theo. He made a call for the kid and here he is..... Being that eggs and baseballs are a bit different, Julian is a bit raw at this stage and may be what's known as a late bloomer. I'm sorry...he DENTED the cop car with an egg? I may have to call BS on that. I (very rightfully) got in trouble for pelting moving cars with green guavas back in the day - those leave some big ol' dents let me tell you -but eggs? Hardboiled? Maybe I guess? That shows some premeditation though - perhaps that why the 7 years.
24. 29 pitches to face 9 batters isn't too bad.
25. I clicked back on the Yahoo gamecast and it had a final score of 8-7 for the Rockies - so I scroll down to see how Bryant got out and I see "HR" - came back here to make sure it was right!
