  1. who needs numbers when you can just look at how a guy carries himself?
  2. what the [expletive] does this even mean? and it was alone as a paragraph Jeter's ambassadorship is worth about 15 wins. Didn't you know that? And him saying "Good job tonight, guys" adds another 10-12. i understood the sucking off of jeter, i just don't understand why granderson would come in and be the "leader and ambassador" of the team.
  3. guh... what? we've known that all along. they don't really know what they're going to have to work with and what they might need until they work this mess out
  4. this trade isn't going down by the end of the winter meetings
  5. ok, now how many can you name who were making as much as sosa? a players trade value isn't determined on performance alone. in sosa's case, the main factor was his ridiculous salary. Salary is meaningless when the trading team is the one paying it. the orioles still paid plenty

  8. guys i read on wikipedia that brad pitt has 2 penises does anybody know if that's true or not
  9. I really hope the entire Cubs brass isn't obsessing with moving Bradley as much as Bruce (and others) are making it seem. This has Sammy Sosa written all over it, to a lesser degree. Except Sammy had little to no value. I don't think you can say that. His numbers match up pretty well with Mike Cameron's 2009 season, and the Cubs are VERY interested in him. except cameron plays center (and plays it well) while sosa played a corner outfield (and played it poorly) most of cameron's value comes from his position and his defense
  10. I really hope the entire Cubs brass isn't obsessing with moving Bradley as much as Bruce (and others) are making it seem. This has Sammy Sosa written all over it, to a lesser degree. Except Sammy had little to no value. bradley doesn't have any trade value right now either, just for different reasons.
  11. it's pretty much a gaurantee that both of those things won't happen. the cubs are either going to have to eat a huge chunk of his contract, or they're going to be taking back a bad contract.
  12. Have there been any rumors about Baltimore? It wouldn't surprise me to see a crap team get Bradley, since whoever gets him is going to end up getting a pretty good deal. The off the field stuff probably wouldn't be a big deal to a team like that. They're going to suck anyways, so who cares if he's a "distraction" or whatever nonsense mose of these GMs are afraid of. Also, nobody goes to Orioles games, which seems like a perfect fit for Milton. Nobody is going to hound him like he was in Chicago because nobody really cares. Seems like it would be a good idea for a crap team to jump on Bradley knowing they're going to get him for dirt cheap, then hope he has a good year and flip him at the deadline or next offseason.
  13. anybody else hear the quote from VDN about how the nets are just now getting healthy and theyre going to start winning a bunch of games? GTFO you goon
  14. hahahahahahhaa
  15. hasn't austin jackson's stock dropped quite a bit? that package seems kind of light, at least compared to what they were supposedly asking for.
  16. brad penny is a back of the rotation starter
  17. haha ray lewis just did the same thing
  18. Bruce Sutter, Rollie Fingers and Satchel Paige. He did say STARTING pitchers. Sutter had exactly zero major league starts, and Fingers and Paige had few enough starts they weren't considered starting pitchers. Regardless, this was the key part of his response to benchwarmer's asinine thinking: Thanks for also proving my point. Still waiting for that HOF pitcher list to enlighten me. what are you trying to prove anyways? that really awesome pitchers usually have winning records? your argument is really weird
  19. that was the 3rd vid
  20. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-Tb12jQtskE it was bad, but still not as bad as http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Py58MvU5Zco or http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ImxR20TgNA0
  21. That's not good use of money, tho. Any contract the Cubs are forced to take back in the Bradley deal won't be a good use of money. It won't be a good use of money if the Cubs have to eat a bunch of the salary either. One of those 2 things is going to happen though, so it's all about picking the least crappy option right now.
