kind of annoyed by the NBC promo that keeps airing for tomorrow caps/hawks game in which they say "will 2 olympic medalists be enough to take down ovechkin's caps?" or something like that. they have 4 medalists, not 2... and all 4 are pretty [expletive] good.

Milton Bradley implied that by saying he got racist hate mail from the Cubs front office. If he actually said that as some have suggested. bradley did not say that at all It is all very odd but I don't see how you can watch the interview and not see that he was implying that the organization or someone within the clubhouse was involved in that mail getting to him. even if he was implying that, it's still way different than -

today's loss had nothing to do with goaltending. it was crappy defense once again

blackhawks goal differential over the last 23 games : +1 wins in those 23 games: 13 not only is the goaltending crap, but the defense has been garbage. they're picking a great time to become a mediocre team.

They may not have put them over the top, but they did fill holes that Boston needed to fill since defense was a major concern that year. Without those two players (and Dave Roberts), I seriously doubt Boston wins the WS in 2004. 2004 UZR/150: Nomar: -15.8 Cabrera: -2.3 2004 OPS: Nomar: .842 Cabrera: .689 Was the defensive difference between the two enough to make up for the offensive gap? I doubt it. Yeah, you can throw all of these new age stats at me all you want, (you might as well be speaking Farsi), the fact is the Red Sox were a better TEAM after Nomar then they were with Nomar. Enough so the Red Sox felt they needed to make that trade. Did they actually lose out on the trade, not one bit. wow

really all this does is put more pressure on the bulls to come through and land one of the big FAs. if they can get one of the top 3, nobody is going to care about the collapse this season or whether or not we made the playoffs.

No suspension. No disciplinary action. Savard will miss the season. Brutal. Bill Guerin, his own teammate, said Cooke should be suspended. I believe Cooke will be slaughtered on March 18th when he plays in Boston. Every time he hits the ice, the Bruins will bring out their enforcers and handle justice accordingly if the league refuses to do anything about it. There is massive rage in Boston over this incident and a lot of angry people will attend the game hung over from Patty's day. It will be ugly. i cant wait

i just watched the replay, and both d-men were skating full speed into the hawks zone (both forwards were back) because it looked like they may have had something going... and probably would have if not for the horrible pass. the turnover by richardson was just inexplicable, and the hawks got lucky when sharp (dont know why) was wayyy late getting back. weird play

They didn't really do anything wrong. They took shots, they got traffic, they had some nice passes, they hit a post. It just didn't go in. i didn't see it that way. i thought it was extremely stagnant. they were taking bad shots for a 2 man advnatage. they didnt really get close to scoring (the post was after the 2 man advantage was up)
