hossa and kopecky are pure magic this season. already 14 points and +11 between the two of them. kopecky is a completely different player since the olympics. i don't know what happened, but he's turned into a really nice player.

yzerman's boys are looking pretty good. 3-0-0 with 2 really good back to back road wins. stamkos has to be the most underrated/underhyped player in the nhl at this point. only 2 players have had 50 goal seasons at a younger age than stamkos, and he's already got 4 goals and 2 assists in 3 games this season.

i agree with everyone that scott has been atrocious. like i knew he would suck, but damn. eff an enforcer, bring up somebody who can play hockey. we didn't have any enforcers last year (eager/buff/burish aren't enforcers) and we won the cup. sucks to go on the wings board and seeing everybody already sputing the "see what happens when you lose your entire team!!" nonsense already. then again, its my fault for checking red wings boards.

Man I don't know if Quade will be good or not, but it will seem like a huge victory just because he's not Sandberg. For the past several months I've thought it was inevitable that it would be Ryne. Plus Quade looks like a turtle and that makes me smile.

ever since the ovechkin hit on campbell last season, i've gained a new respect for soupy. our defense seems to be completely different when he's not in there. he's vastly overpaid, but as a 4th d-man he's pretty badass. i hate his contract still, but i don't dislike him anymore.

considering that we've played 3 good teams (2 on the road), we're missing campbell, and the new team is still learning to play with each other, we aren't off to a bad start. could easily be 3-0. i think we'll keep getting better as the guys get used to each other and the young guys settle in a bit. losing hjalmarsson for a couple games will definitely hurt though. our d is going to be atrocious for those games. hos for mvp
