  1. i'm still waiting for somebody to hit the scoreboard with a home run, even though it will probably never happen. closest i can remember is sosa's NLCS game 2 blast
  2. hey albert good news we got some extra money and its enough to pay you more all the way through 2021
  3. holy [expletive], chris johnson
  4. Pass. Nice little resurgence this year, but he was 35 and in a contract year. Don't trust it one bit. I know the contract year is, ideally, a myth... but I still don't trust it. Pena would be a more valuable option. They'd put up similar production numbers, and while the batting average would be substantially lower, the defense would more than makeup for it, and he'd probably cost less in both dollars and years he had an .899 OPS 2010. the only bad year he had was 09. i don't want him either, just saying
  5. every time you post, i inevitably watch your kid's swing like 10 times
  6. to make it even better.... the wings lost their 4th in a row (all in regulation). from 5-0-0 to 5-4-0. CORE
  7. How is Tampa doing with attendance?
  8. Wait, Red Sox fans still think they're getting something good? Cool
  9. man, it's amazing how far the dude has fallen this quickly, even considering injuries. an 8 million dollar option not being picked up? that would have sounded absurd a few years ago.
  10. he's a very good hitter, he's just awful defensievly.
  11. What about the winter meetings? Those should be fun.
  12. Then why do you want him so much?
  13. if fielder ends up being like 50 million cheaper than pujols, i'll take him
  14. this is such a colossal failure for the NBA. you finally have a breakout season that generates the most interest since the 90's NBA, and what do they do? throw away all the momentum by a lockout and remind us all how bad most of these people are. way to go, NBA.
  15. worst sports night in a while. hawks lose, cards win the WS, and the NBA cockteases us with hope of resolution and then reminds us all that they're a bunch of greedy scumbags.
  16. yea, that would be a pretty nice line for jackson i think castro is going to hit .310+ next season (yay batting average)
  17. I wonder if Castro even knows what Ryne Sandberg looks like.
  18. This is how every "good baseball man" advances in baseball, because all baseball men have nothing but good things to say about all good baseball men. Every pitching coach does a great job, every hitting coach is tremendously helpful, every manager has players that want to play for him, every scout is a savvy one. Those statements are completely worthless. As some have already noted, the Cubs players were gaga over Mike Quade last fall and he proved to be an incompetent boob. Also: Mike Quade had a lot of experience in the Cubs organization. Almost all of the meatball excuses for Sandberg can be applied to Quade. That is a horrible analogy. Mike Quade on his best day doesn't garner the respect from players that Sandberg does. We saw that toward the end of the this year, when they players used him as a doormat. In what ways?
  19. If we start talking about Theo again it might get sexual again
  20. It'll be like watching Derrick Rose in the playoffs all season long!! You excited to see KG playing a bunch of back-to-backs this season?
