  1. has there ever been a player in mlb that was known to be a pedophile at the time he was playing? i'd be surprised if he plays again.
  2. Really? They had one catcher, no Darvish, Russell and Almora starting full time, Chatwood in the rotation, an insane schedule, Heyward was worse, Bryant was hurt... we had like a 4-5 game lead on the brewers approaching the end of the season. that team sucks ass but they're probably going to find a way to get in again, because they're the brewers.
  3. To be fair, you think the Brewers will end the year by winning their next 14 games. The problem for the Brewers is the only way they win the division is by finishing something like 12-2 because of the 7 H2H games between the Cards and Cubs. They're currently 4% on FG and 6% on 538. BP hasn't updated yet but they jumped 1.4% on FG today and doing that would put them at 3.5% on BP. So they're between 1 in 20 and 1 in 30 to win the division. If they go 10-4, the Cards would have to go 6-8. Well, half of those games are against the Cubs. So unless something crazy happens like the Cards get destroyed by the Nats and DBacks but crush the Cubs, the Cubs are probably winning 4 of those games. So 5-2 against Pittsburgh and Cincy and we end up tied. If they go 9-5, the Cards would have to go 5-9. Now you're looking at the Cubs probably going 5-2 against St. Louis which means 4-3 in those other games gives the Cubs the division. I'm not going to say it's impossible, because they were around 1 in 20 last year at the end of August and they got super hot and tied the Cubs. They were also a much better team last year, that had Yelich, plus a healthy and producing Cain and a lights out bullpen. They don't have those things this year. So sure, if they go nuts the next two weeks, win 11 or 12 of 14 and win the division, I'll tip my cap to them. But they've got no margin for error. i remember all this stuff looking even more promising last year
  4. we all know the brewers will beat out the cubs for the last spot
  5. you will regret this
  6. blowing the wild card to the brewers without yelich is going to be epic
  7. or maybe you could figure it out without him being forced to come to you
  8. they deserve to lose the wild card to the brewers for switching lester and hendricks
  9. use him on the lost cause instead of the team that is chasing us down again. brilliant. If they don’t do it people cry that they are settling for the wild card game. the cardinals series is almost 2 weeks away. the difference between winning or losing the last game against the brewers is huge. 2 games out instead of 4 gives them life. the brewers are closer to them than the cardinals are.
  10. Lines Hendricks up against St Louis is what I heard. use him on the lost cause instead of the team that is chasing us down again. brilliant.
  11. wait, they flipped hendricks and lester so lester starts the last game against milwaukee instead? what the horsefeathers is wrong with this organization
  12. there's the offseason excuse for ricketts
  13. the brewers schedule is a joke the rest of the way. they need to split
  14. just like last season. blow the final 2 series against the brewers with a chance to put them away kb can go too, i'm tired of defending him
  15. i'm straight up rooting against them at this point. can't even put away the legimitately awful brewers
  16. It seems obvious but he doesn’t seem to care about the football situation he’s in. He cares about money and getting enough targets. The whole reason he wanted out of Pittsburgh was they weren’t willing to give him the guaranteed money he wanted. Oakland did so he went there. I doubt Belichick hands him $30M guaranteed (if NE even has the cap space). Belichick is the “wide receiver whisperer”, though, and turns talented (but head case) receivers into all pros. And New England always seems to sign these guys for way lower than their public demands antonio brown is already a 4x first team all pro
  17. why does trubisky look like dustin from stranger things
  18. who gives a horsefeathers about home field in the wc game lol
  19. I don’t know what’s so hard to get. You can think both the Cubs aren’t very good, annoying and underachievers while also thinking the Cardinals aren’t very good, worse than then Cubs and overachieving the last ~month. After yesterday and today though the math is getting hard to win the division, it’s still possible but not probable and just because the Cardinals likely go on to win the division doesn’t mean my stance is necessarily wrong. you're a cool dude, but essentially saying that the cardinals aren't a good team because their wins came in bunches is silly. nobody is saying they're great, but they're clearly good.
  20. how are they "not good"? Because they aren’t. It took a 17-4 record vs horsefeathers teams to get on a 90 win pace and where they’re at. They did this last year in August too. I’m dubious they finish with more than 85 wins. It’s like the Brewers last year that took the heater of all heaters to take us down, maybe it happens again. But we’re better and have 7 shots vs them and they can’t keep playing like .850 baseball for the next month, a correction is due. assuming they lose the game going on right now, they'd have to go 9-17 the rest of the way to finish with only 85 wins. and why does it matter that the 17-4 stretch just happened? those games count. you get a good record by having runs like that. you basically just said "it took them winning a lot of games to have a good record."
  21. all I'm asking is that they put away the legitimately bad brewers, and they can't even do that
  22. blow it the horsefeathers up, this is embarrassing
